with brian marnell and bill gibson
they rehearsed in the basement of
2400 fulton in late 1978
at the time
kusf was the local college station
area code 415
reception limited by low power
and bay area hills
I was browsing in a hardware store on Clement Street in SF and heard one of the young clerks say to the other "I saw Romeo Void last night. Man, that chick is butt ugly!" and the other clerk lit into him, saying she's a great singer and he needs to shut up. We exchanged smiles.
@-Ken 12:05 Wow!!!
was not widely in use at the time
debora iyall was an alternative
very confident front person
neither svt nor romeo void
reached their potentials:<
brian marnell did not shake
his heroin addiction and died 1983
the lp that north beach is on
was fantasy berkeley

JOEY B is PRODUCING THE FUNK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- & they were followed by Zeppelin - & - Black Sabbath, who really define Metal... Reportedly had four Marshall stacks each even in places of capacity only 400 people : from San Francisco where they were considered delinquent younger siblings somewhat unworthy of the Peace & Love scene...
& - I met Dickie Peterson & under Kewl in the dictionary should be his picture...
".. need to not put away your records ever .."
In terms of loud raw heavy WhiteBlooz free noise Gittar expression - consider that Blue Cheer had their debut 'Vincebus Eruptum' out before TheStooges recored anything... The Cheer are a universally revered cornerstone of StonerRawk / Metal as much as the whole genre sometimes seems a rewrite of classic BlackSabbath...
As a DJ you’re not like everybody else ; )
A dJ taking requests??!😳 😱
Play Misty for me
that film is so frightening - not the content -
but as a expose of Clint Eastwoods' egocentric ego...
Thanks, Skelechele!
