Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.

Listener comments!
Handy...you got my communique ala primitives. Yes, me bring kumquats. I do need to hear from Kate, however! Pig ears for everyone!.
You staying warm, prof.fuzz? Did you take my advice and cover yourself with vinyl?
✌😎🌏🌞
Hope you're warm, javakid!
lurking while *trying* to get stuff done, thank you for the HOT tunes!
turns out the boiler/furnace/whole freaking heating system is busted and has to be replaced (had heat for a LITTLE bit on Saturday) -- oh joy! and this "may take a few days" (which may not even be legal according to NJ tenant laws?? gotta make some phone calls tomorrow)
ok gotta get back to work -- but i will be listening and digging :)
STAY WARM everyone!!!
Glad you have power, On the Yazoo.
Mr. P: literally!
Crap, Mike Sin -- hope you are trending upward!
Mariano is in NOLA, it has been colder there than here in NYC area, YIKES!
yeah, my building -- all condos now, except for my next door neighbor (who is even older than me, but did not move here until 1987) -- turns out our apartments are both rent controlled (i did not know that when i rented the place in 1982! and yeah, surely my original landlord would have caught this BEFORE anything happened -- old-school Yugoslavian dude, was in the building practically every day, working on stuff -- anyway, he sold the building in 2007, and that is when i found out that my neighbor and i are protected by the rent control laws)
thank you for being a decent landlord!!! now all i deal with is some "management company" -- thankfully i have two space heaters from when the boiler broke down some years ago (or when Sandy hit and flooded the whole basement?) -- but that building management company gave EVERYONE in the building two space heaters! (this company said "you may want to get a space heater")
and yeah, i gotta check out the regulations! kinda rusty, but iirc -- units have to be 68º during the day, 65º at night
Heya slugluv, Handy, Mr. Pumpy!
Based on my two years of Duolingo French I think "flying taxi" is correct
@slug...it seems it was a particularly fucked up sich. I'm sorry about that/this.
yeah, i gotta do some research, make some phone calls tomorrow -- luckily though, there are enough of the condo owners here (some have been staying elsewhere during COVID) who will NOT put up with a lack of heat buahahahahaha . . . so i am guessing they are giving the building management hell too!
has it gotten warmer in New Orleans?
I liked the orange peels thing too!
what is the temperature now
down south in NOLA?
Alas, Phillippe, the cold was too much, and we recrossed the North and East Rivers, leaving the South for another jaunt!
Scott W., if you see this, I figured the choice of soups was yours -- mushroom or pickle!
If this confuses anyone, I assure yo that I am more confused.
I am confused, and confusing.
LOVE to your Dad, thanks for being there for him :)
anomalee: I guess, lol. I'm not particularly dark; I just dig this avatar. It's interesting to me how scary an image someone can make using just some black, white, and a bit of red (and a tiny bit of yellow for the teeth).
Stay warm & safe my funky friends. ✌😎❤🌏🌞
anomalee: If that post was meant for me, I didn't take it as stereotyping at all, lol. Perfectly natural to think "dark" when looking at such an avatar ;)
anomalee: I love a lot of goth, death metal, and occult/esoteric-themed stuff, but I like so much other stuff too that I wouldn't make it or anything else a primary identification, except for maybe schlub.
Though I hope Jason in Houston is doing OK. Anyone see him on the boards today?
Thanks, efd! Great stuff as always, and more grist for the Bandcamp Friday mill, which we basically call the efd grinder at this point!
Sceleton Scott, enjoy that shot, and I hope the mushroom and/or pickle soup was delicious! Thanks for all, and it was so wonderful to see you today!
Be well, funksters. Stay warm. Or cool. Whichever brings safety and happiness.
@Scott67, Indeed!
