Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm Handy Haversack:

It's like we all just saw CON AIR and can't stop talking about it at school the next day.

Actually, we're going to miss 3OAK. At 1:30, we're heading out, over one river, under another, and we're going to drop off a load of Greenpoint goodies for the Skeleteam at 43 Montgomery.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm David (in London):

Hey Bas.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hi David!
Avatar 12:15pm Mary Wing:

NO fair, Handy! Wait until next Wednesday when I *might* be at the station
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm eIk:

OK @Sem, point taken. Good morning to the filthy punks on the west coast, good afternoon to the dirty hippies here on the east coast, good suppertime to the stank hoes in Europe, good evening to the suppurating leprous critters east of there in Putin-Land and such, and good night to the sleazeballs with malodorous dreads at illegal raves on the Cambodian-Thai border.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Cut Mary some slack. Those 5000 security cameras aren't going to unpack themselves, you know.

We were out for a midday walk once, close to halloween, when she saw some kind of a ghost figure in a window. She actually crumpled in fear and covered her head. I was amazed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Handy Haversack:

@Rich, that's the plot of a Poe story, basically!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm Stanley:

Say a 'hello' to the Magic Factory, for me Handy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm David (in London):

In 1980, aged a tender 12 years old, I ill-advisedly watched the first episode of the original two-part Salem's Lot next door at my friend Ben's house when it was broadcast here. He lived on a farm with a very long, tree-lined driveway. When I left the house I was absolutely crapping myself, and I sprinted as fast as I could back home. Little did I know that my brother, coming out for a late smoke, had heard my footsteps, guessed it was me and hid behind our front hedge. As I came round the corner he jumped out at me. You guys probably heard the subsequent scream in New Jersey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm Handy Haversack:

Will do, Stanley!

We're suiting up for the cold and heading out, O Time's Wing'd Chariots! Thanks for the sounds, Mary!

good story David, and yes i think i heard that scream. i thought it was my mother after someone tracked mud into the house. i hid for 2 days; but now that i think about it it did sound like a 12-year-old you.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm Andrew Waterloo:

There was an internet analysis that concluded the cat needs time to relax their back muscles and position for a landing. Otherwise they have a survivable terminal velocity.

That Wye Oak slaps. A very not-boring band named after a pretty boring place (though at least it's close to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which is cool).
  2:42pm Mark R:

This Mako Sica track reminds me of some of Miles Davis's mid-70s stuff, very echoey and mysterious...

Avatar 2:52pm Mary Wing:

So many drop-outs today, what is the deal?
Avatar 2:54pm Mary Wing:

Most self-released stuff is found; not too many artists send me music or links but there are a few, heh...

Some of them I found while searching for other songs for the 3 of a kind segment, actually.
Avatar 2:54pm Sem:

Thanks for the spins today, Mary. That drop-out thing sent me to VLC and the 128MP3 stream. Working well for me. See you later.
