Who dat? Starting a second line in my kitchen...not sure I'll get past the living room.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm

Looks like I'm in for the first serious snow shovelling event of the year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm
Nate K.:

Good luck, we had our blizzard last week/10 days ago.

Thanks for the feel-good music Nate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm

Well, I still have power, so far. So better off than some.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm
Nate K.:

@vertual, my pleasure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm

By the way, to call back to a couple of sets ago, if I thought anyone would listen to it, I could easily come up with a series of rock operas on my bad neighbors. The guy who trimmed his hedges with the lawnmower gets his own.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm

I remember the SNL sketch with Louis CK where the women were singing a Mr. Big Stuff type song at him and he's all "why would you all jump on me?" Probably not a concept that's aged well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm

I guess it actually was Mr. Big Stuff they sang at him www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm
Nate K.:

The lawnmower on the hedges thing almost sounds like urban legend because it's so nuts, but I've heard stories of people doing this, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm

If I hadn't seen it myself, I might also doubt it.
Avatar 10:27pm

When the Ponderosa Stomp came to NYC in the mid-aughts, the week included a tribute to Wardell Quezergue that celebrated his role in "Mr. Big Stuff" and more. Dr. John made an appearance.

Nate K.:

@Parq, was that the one at Lincoln Center or the one at McCarren Pool?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30pm

This Waiting almost sounds more modern than old timey. Like waiting for an OC or Fent drop in a pickup truck
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm

Avatar 10:34pm

Lincoln Center, Nate, Alice Tully Hall to be exact. I dug this up from the Good Grey's archive: www.nytimes.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46pm
Nate K.:

Sounds amazing. Didn't see that one, sadly. I saw one at the pool and one in NOLA.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53pm

Oh, yeah. Callback to last week.

That voice. Like molasses
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55pm
Nate K.:

Thanks as always, folks. Eat some beans and rice and have a happy Mardi Gras.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56pm

Great show, catch you where the dots dash soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58pm
Nate K.:

Indeed, tomorrow night.
