Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am Otis:

Come along and ride the enlightenment slide... chaos fractals complimentary.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Otis and listener friends!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am Otis:

Afternoon Jan! Quack Quack!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:01am Jan Turkenburg:

Finished just in time with building a new set-up :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am Jan Turkenburg:

Great starting mix! Is the first time you use it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am Jan Turkenburg:

Yay, jazzy flutations!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am Otis:

It's been a long time since I used that old theme/song. Going to be a groovy day I feel, was going to start with odd meditation records and ambient/space stuff but the mood dictates. Coffee helps as well.

Funky Flute for you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am Otis:

New set-up, nice! Something is in the air. Both Rich and I need to tear apart our home studios and clean/organize. Martinibomb just did his area up as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05am Jan Turkenburg:

Having to leave you in the background now. One laundry to go before dinner :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am Otis:

May your laundry always be clean and the belly full. See ya!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am Carmichael:

Heya Otis and The Persuaded™.
Avatar 11:10am Feldpausch:

Gimme a little persuasion but make it friendly
Avatar 11:18am Ehoooh:

I have that VHS!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am Otis:

Hey Hey Ehoooh & Feld & Carm!
Avatar 11:25am Cp304:

Good Mornoon Otis and peoples
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Feldpausch and Ehooh and Carmichael. Just came downstairs to clicky star this Italian soul stew!!!
Avatar 11:28am Feldpausch:

Good morning all! Such a fine sounding day in the neighborhood
Avatar 11:31am Ehoooh:

Whoah Roger!
  11:41am chresti/work/Griffith park:

Hi Otis and friendly friends, fiends! Listening as long as the connection stays put.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am Otis:

good morning chresti, hello hi hi
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Otis:

Stream just dropped here. Internet. Hope it's coming through okay.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Carmichael:

All's good on the Pop-up.
Avatar 11:57am Ehoooh:

oooh yeah
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Otis:

Excellent, thanks Carm, must have been a quick reset blip. Whew. Cold weather here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59am Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Cp and chresti! Laundry done AND folded! I think I'm going to call the local newspaper 😂
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Otis:

Hi Cp, just saw you up there. Doing laundry here after the show today Jan.
Avatar 12:02pm Ehoooh:

Ok take it easy Otis, my wantlist can't handle the influx here....
Avatar 12:04pm Domenic:

Hi everyone. I got to talk to my boss... online meetings keep on interfering with my "Sheena time"
  12:08pm Martinibomb:

HHola Otis! Hey fellow jungle wellers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Otis:

Hey Hey Martinipinballbomb!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Otis:

Hi Hi Dom!
Avatar 12:16pm Domenic:

Hi Otis. You like doing doubles, Play another mandingo?
Avatar 12:16pm Constance De Witt:

Hello! My meeting is almost over! Can't wait to switch to the other Mandingo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Otis:

Sure Dom, I have Mandingo III out here on the table, will line up another next.
Avatar 12:17pm Domenic:

Oh, and my young 36 year old daughter is working and listening too. So no novelty naughty records! (LOL)
Avatar 12:18pm Domenic:

Kidding! Chats are a fun place for that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Otis:

You are in luck. Nothing too naughty. However some Lightnin' Rod is set to appear at some point soon...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Otis:

Afternoon Constance!
Avatar 12:22pm Domenic:

And thanks for the Mandingo.
Avatar 12:24pm Sonderangebot:

Well I can't blame you, I wouldn't like to listen to novelty naughty records around my father either!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm Rich in Washington:

Shaggs bombing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm Franco Twinkie:

Hey Otis, I would just like to say that I had a hot dog for breakfast and no water was involved.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Otis:

Good move Franco! Leland took it all!

Hey Hey Rich!
Avatar 12:32pm Sonderangebot:

I haven't had a hot dog in at least one year... I miss it! Let's make some!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm Rich in Washington:

when I was first getting into cooking, making roux, gravies, sauces, etc., I came to the horrific realization that one could, theoretically, make a gravy from wiener water.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm Franco Twinkie:

The toaster oven is the way you can ditch the water and still enjoy a nice hot wiener.
Avatar 12:36pm Sonderangebot:

You're dropping out quite a lot
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Jan Turkenburg:

I've heard several blips in the last 20 minutes... short ones however
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm Rich in Washington:

It's like driving through slushy snow. Push on!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Franco Twinkie:

Pop it in and out, like a hot wiener?
Avatar 12:38pm Cp304:

@Otis, it’s so bad here, we cant go out to restore services until power company plays catch up..
Avatar 12:38pm Sonderangebot:

You know what slush is, it's how the streets look like in late March/early April!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Sondy, Rich, Franco, Domenic. Back at the screen. Dinner 'behind my teeth" as we say overhere...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Rich in Washington:

Hi Jan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Franco Twinkie:

Jan, did you leave a little stuck to your teeth to enjoy later?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm Rich in Washington:

That cover!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Franco Twinkie:

That cover was done by Dave Willardson, who did lots of illustration in West, the Sunday magazine that came inside The Los Angeles times in the 1970's. Dude was the shit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm ARB:

Hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Franco Twinkie:

Page?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Otis:

ARB ARB hi hi!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Rich in Washington:

@Franco: Yeah. I had to look him up on Discogs. A pretty impressive portfolio. He sort of reminds me of Robert Grossman.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm ARB:

I'm still not caught up to you, chapter 28 page 222
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm ARB:

You're lapping me Franco, good thing this isn't cribbage
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Otis:

Sorry for the dropouts today, internet has been choppy since Friday afternoon here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Franco Twinkie:

Rich, yup, although Grossmans stuff was a lot more chiseled looking. Willardson went for straight up creamy, with a sinister under pinning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm ARB:

I'm reading slowly due to all the laughing breaks and book slapping pauses.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm ARB:

Sondy, another friend who knows nothing of Milk Month just recommended the Milk book to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm ARB:

Look at the provocative banana!
Avatar 12:56pm Sem:

Hello, Otis, and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Otis:

4 bananas are okay to eat
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Rich in Washington:

I'm all about sinister underpinnings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Otis:

Hey Hey Sem
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Franco Twinkie:

Alina, I'm just really into it. I find it viscerally thrilling. Oh, the pain!
Avatar 12:59pm Sonderangebot:

HI ARB it's definitely an educational book, I learned a lot and it's quite enjoyable. I can send it to you by mail if you want, I have to go to the post office soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm ARB:

Ooh, Sondy, yes let's do a book exchange!
Avatar 1:00pm Sem:

Just noticed I missed Moe Koffman. That album must be some kind of rarity.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm Rich in Washington:

the dropouts are hardly noticeable.
Avatar 1:13pm Sem:

Thx for that, Otis.
  1:23pm Zombek:

Driving between Utica and Rochester NY!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm Jan Turkenburg:

The dropouts are actually quite funny and sometimes divinely timed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Otis:

All dropouts are intentional. Mixing it up. That's my testimony.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi ARB, Sem and Zombek btw!
Avatar 1:32pm Sem:

Greets, Jan!
Avatar 1:34pm Ursula1000:

I’m on Holiday,( from work )for a few minutes :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm Jan Turkenburg:

Ursula, Solo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm ARB:

When will I get the honorific "legendary legendary"?
Avatar 1:37pm Ursula1000:

hiya Jan!
Avatar 1:38pm Ursula1000:

is it just me or is the feed getting randomly interrupted?
Avatar 1:39pm Ursula1000:

ah gotcha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm Jan Turkenburg:

This is wonderfull!
Avatar 1:44pm Sonderangebot:

I was reading cream sundae! I think I should have some lunch and have good eating habits like Jan.
Avatar 1:45pm Feldpausch:

This Peter and the Wolf makes a very fine dancing song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm Rich in Washington:

Holy cow! This is bizarre!
Avatar 1:47pm Feldpausch:

Solo, I like the phrasing of "On Holiday" to describe a brief respite. You can even say it with a Mid-Atlantic accent
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm Otis:

SooooolooooOOOOooooOOOOO helloooOOOoooOOOOO worker beeeee
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm melinda:

Hello everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Otis:

hi hi melinda!
Avatar 1:52pm Sem:

Hiya, melinda. Some weather, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm Jan Turkenburg:

I learned popcorn had lyrics to it, when I found a copy of this 45 in a thrifstore years ago!
Avatar 1:55pm Sonderangebot:

Noises, pickles, pop corn, what's the next song, farty farts? XD
Avatar 1:56pm Sonderangebot:

Wait no, hot dog should be next.
Avatar 1:58pm Mr Fab:

Been listening on and off while doin stuff this morn, thx good sir Otis!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Franco Twinkie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Franco Twinkie:

El Speedmiester Loco!
  2:04pm speedo:

Hi Franco! yesss!!! love the zeet band LP!
Bobby Womack was on it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm Franco Twinkie:

I'm leading the squalid life.
Avatar 2:06pm Sonderangebot:

Hey speedo! I am living a semi straight life I guess, there is no wife to serve me drinks in my backyard and my house permanently smells like hippie food.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Rich in Washington:

I've always loved this song - the Bobby Goldsboro version esp.
  2:08pm speedo:

Hi Sondy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Otis:

That's it! Bobby did it, thanks. Love the original too... after playing this version so much, it's my go-to these days. So safe and sanitized.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm melinda:

I enjoy the Ray Charles Singers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Otis:

me too melinda, so good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm melinda:

and Percy Faith! Transportive smoothy music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13pm Rich in Washington:

I remember David Letterman lipsyncing to that Straight Life song on a really bizarre episode of his old show.
Avatar 2:16pm Sonderangebot:

I am very interested in the house featured on Jackie & Roy. Pulled out my Field Guide to American House because I wanted to clarify the style... Can't tell if it's Tudor or Shingle!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm melinda:

I'm liking the Paul Williams house.
Avatar 2:25pm Mr Fab:

Paul Williams the architect or Paul Williams the singer?
Or did Paul Williams design Paul Williams's house?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm melinda:

I didn't know there was a Paul Williams architect
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm melinda:

Also didn't know there were lyrics to the Rosemary's Baby theme.
Avatar 2:27pm Sonderangebot:

I like it too, Melinda, wish I could see the whole house.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Rich in Washington:

There was also a Paul Williams who founded Crawdaddy Magazine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm Rich in Washington:

Oh wow. Check out the song title to that Longet single. 'Pray For Rosemary's Baby'. Was that an early working title, or an abroad title?
Avatar 2:30pm Mr Fab:

Or a sequel that never got made?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Rich in Washington:

There was a really bad made-for-TV sequel called Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby.
Avatar 2:32pm Mr Fab:

melinda, Paul Williams the architect designed (among many other places) the Space Age landmark 'Theme Building' at LAX. Where we had our wedding reception.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Rich in Washington:

with Tina 'Ginger' Louise
Avatar 2:37pm solo mon:

Speaking of gawd awful the 1981 tv re make of Valley of the Dolls is really fun/awful. Starring Bert Convey!
Avatar 2:39pm solo mon:

And also starring Lisa Hartman and her spandex clad cameltoe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Rich in Washington:

Oh, I need to see that, solo!
Avatar 2:39pm Sonderangebot:
