I actually had to open the window. The steam heat is *pumping* in here. NYC apartments. Feast and famine, all at the same time depending on which way you face and what elevation you keep your sensitive bits at.

coela, might as well sit round a cigarette? The heat here can be indifferent sometimes, with lots of little holes to prevent suffocation, too, but today is kind of off the hook.

and i miss that the air was not dry like arizona as with "forced" (in my case more like ductwork open and heat rises) air

coela, we managed to build a bookshelf over the radiator in the front room. That bottom shelf is Voltron's *spot* when the heat comes on.

my "sleep pattern" (if you could call it that, hah!) has gotten even nuttier! so have missed some of the night shows, happy i am able to say HELLO to you hear & now :)
here, it is like 20ºF and WINDY! so the "real feel" is like 10ºF -- to be honest though, as warm as it is in my apartment, i have been without heat when it has been this cold - so i am GRATEFUL!!!

When I left for work this morning, my kitties were camped out near the baseboard heating. I have a programmable thermostat and pay for my heat and hot water. The cats will probably be under the comforter on the bed or entwined together when I return home.
