WHERE does the nozzle go?! Sorry, I'm late due to a Mcclusky/Future of the Left marathon I was hosting. I was the only one who showed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am Mr. Pumpy:

Hi, Rich!
  12:18am rich:

hello heavy chevy and joe and mr p
let’s put the nozzle where the mouth is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am Mr. Pumpy:

mariano, Rev Rab, Coel...how ya livin'?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20am Mr. Pumpy:

See, this is what years of R&D get you. We are moving the nozzle from the eye to the mouth. I am behind this decision!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20am mariano:

Hey Mr. P!
  12:20am Tamar:

Mr. Pumpy, that sounds like one of those DJ nightmares. Like dead air while you open the CD case and it is empty, or there's a cassette inside instead.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21am coelacanth∅:

hey Mr.P

. . . i put the nozzle where my mouth is and now all the dogs are comin' around like i'm a squeaky toy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21am chresti:

Haha coel
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am Mr. Pumpy:

Tamar...it does! However, I was dep into that set for myself...no lie. I forgot what day it was. I purchased a few albums during the whole thing as well. It all started while I was slicing some chicken...

  12:23am rw:

Hello hello hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am Mr. Pumpy:

mariano...hey! I feel we've been just missing one another a bit, lately. It doesn;t help that the accu has been as crowded as a Jersey shopping mall on the day after Thanksgiving.
  12:24am rw:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am coelacanth∅:

hello rw, hello, hello
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am Mr. Pumpy:

mariano, I am not implying you are 'missing' me. I mean to say, just not connecting on the accu. Ha! Don't be coy!
  12:24am mndave:

@Mr. P: would’ve showed for a FOTL/McC marathon if I knew such a thing existed!
  12:24am rich:

who was the ancient greek founder of technozzlogy i can’t recall at the moment
  12:25am rich:

hi rw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25am mariano:

Mr. P: I've been absolutely slammed with work this last week so I've been in lurk mode. Planning on catching up this weekend. All good with you?

rich: Archimedes? Hero of Alexandria?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am mariano:

*Hero is his name, it's not a title, though I suppose he was a hero too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am Mr. Pumpy:

mndave...understood. I think the reason it didn't go over with the public is lack of advertising. It was just me and my headphones. That is not good business. BUT...it is also good business, if'n you're pickin' up what I'm puttin' down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am coelacanth∅:

i think it was Nozzlestotle
  12:27am rw:

Hi coelacanth, hi rich, hi.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28am Mr. Pumpy:

@rw...we're just trying top finalize the location of the nozzle on the inflatable squirrel carcass for the next Macy's Day Parade. Or...any other acceptable applications, truly.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am chresti:

Haha mariano.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am mariano:

I've got a good bit of catching up to do there myself, Mr. P. Good to be busy again, but careful what you pray for, as they say.

Hey chresti, rw!
  12:31am rw:

Ah! The nozzle!

chresti, mariano!

Rich, did we lose you?
  12:31am rich:

  12:33am rw:

And now something called Oklahoma Stomp
  12:34am rw:

Weird. My nozzle seems to have switched streams. I'm back now...

coela: I wish, lol. I had a good couple of days though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am Mr. Pumpy:

mariano, if I may be so bold, you are better off now then when gigs were non-existent. However, I am only saying how I feel when I am busy. But I live with desertion, and eight million people. So there is that.

mr p, m. baudrillard has indeed attempted to blow and blow hard he has but really it’s best described as a passing wind if you ask me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am Mr. Pumpy:

My stream switched over to other tunes for about 5 minutes. Anyone else? I was wondering where the hell Funkadelic was, and I clicked again and it changed right over.
  12:43am rw:

Mr. P, you can get a shot for that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am Mr. Pumpy:

rich, I trust you. Any blow-hard or attempt thereof, is usually just a bunch of flatulence.

Wow, Christina Wheeler is one of my best friends since NYC. After she moved to Berlin, I attended her bday to see a Damo Suzuki concert in a former DDR bunker under the Spree River. Still have the tee Damo gave me.

i'd like a lemur please
...although i'd bet they stink
  2:07am Tamar:

I don't remember when the DJ premiums started. Was it before the 90s? We did cassettes in the 90s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08am mariano:

coela: LCD was how I first heard of FMU, back in 1995 when I lived in SF. One of my housemates got it, so when I moved to NYC in '98, tuning in was one of the things I was looking forward to the most.
  2:08am Tamar:

A gibbon would want its own room.
Avatar 2:09am northguineahills:

She's an amazing musician....
  2:09am rich:

other things going on:
Tusk Virtual Festival (through February 28)

Joaquín Orellana: The Spine of Music - January 20–March 5 (book ahead of time)

the instruments on exhibit at the americas society look amazing but i signed up for a february date and have yet to receive a confirmation so not sure what’s going on
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09am coelacanth∅:

the one i refer to was in '91, but i hazilly recall it as something not that many show hosts participated in
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09am mariano:

Sounds like an amazing show, ngh.
Avatar 2:10am Hubig Pie:

If the topic is monkeys, I'm on team bonobo

Good morning Rich & friends from the mystical lands of Hayk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12am coelacanth∅:

nah man a bonobo'll be locked in the bathroom all the time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13am mariano:

Pygmy marmosets are the same as bush babies, right?
Avatar 2:16am northguineahills:

@mariano: funny, the same night we stopped at another former nyc friend, chris sattinger, who played d&b and dubby step (in the ragga sense). Then we randomly met some Kurdish fellows after the shows, and drank and smoked w/ them at some random bar (the next day I wasn't feeling so well)
  2:17am Tamar:

I was thinking they were like big-eyed lemurs. So I looked it up, and aha! From the African Wildlife Foundation: "The lesser galago, also called the lesser bush baby, is one of the smallest primates, about the size of a squirrel."
  2:17am rich:

hi hubig, diesel tea
too much cleaning to do with a bonobo around
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18am mariano:

"Lesser" bush baby? That can't be good for their self esteem :(

ngh: That's such a late-night, 24/7 town, huh?
Avatar 2:18am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Lemur just say
- gibbon that old-time religion
...it's gorilla nuff for me.
Prime8-bits of bonobo in a crisis.
An ape that copulates grasps how to commute our Fate
...assimianing it's not already too late...
Or too early.
To come down from - or go back to the trees...
  2:19am Tamar:

I prefer to call them "petite," myself.
  2:19am rich:

i meant diezel tea
Avatar 2:19am northguineahills:

Part of the reason I hate this tourist hell trap, I was on my walk, and I saw a drunk frat bro drop his hat. I thought he was trying to hail a cab, but he was flicking the drivers off. I told him he lost his hat, and said, "f*ck you*, took a swing at me, but I dodged it. The a cop car came by, and he ran for it losing his flip-flops. (I prefer Brooklyn muggers, I can negotiate and talk to them).
Avatar 2:20am northguineahills:

Berlin, yeah, it's legally 24 hrs unlike NYC.
  2:21am Tamar:

Sorry ngh for your unpleasant encounter this evening.
Avatar 2:22am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

We must believe we can achieve anytree once we get our marmoset on it.
  2:23am Tamar:

RevRabbit, monkeying around with the puns this evening!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24am mariano:

You're a chimp off the old block, RevRabbit ;)

ngh: Glad you're OK. Sounds like an episode of Cops.
Avatar 2:26am Hubig Pie:

Bonobo's, filthy yet charming.
  2:27am rich:

i would think “bush baby” isn’t too good for their self esteem either

ngh good that your safe
Avatar 2:30am northguineahills:

It wasn't too unpleasant, he was drunk, and had no weapons, so dodging him was easy. Even if the cops didn't happen to drive by, I'd be fine (I'm from Brooklyn, yo!).
Avatar 2:31am northguineahills:

thanks, all, it was weird, I haven't seen something like that since college (when I was less street smart).
  2:32am Tamar:

Still, harshing your mellow.
Avatar 2:32am northguineahills:

Brooklyn taught me a lot, w/ some knocks and bruises at first.
  2:32am Tamar:

We need more bonobos, fewer bros.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33am mariano:

it still sucks.
when i used to go to punk shows in new brunswick there were often guys who wanted to start shit, just because i don't *look* intimidating to them.
i could take care of myself, but shit - that's not why i came out.
  2:34am rich:

i can see bonobos morphing into bonobros
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35am coelacanth∅:

if i was king of the universe i'd turn all bonobros into bonobos right
Avatar 2:37am northguineahills:

Getting into an odd primate cultural hybrid I see.

I'm out in 15 minutes. Gracias mis amigos!
Avatar 2:41am northguineahills:

@coel: I got good at just dodging verbal and physical altercations. When it comes to it, I can defend myself and others, w/o hurting anyone in return (the walking is an attempt to get rid of my pandemic gut, it's working).
