Mary, you r smart (in my humble opinion) to "Memorex it" given that a few different DJs doing it live have gotten knocked off the air lately because of their ISPs or some gosh-darn thing. I'm irrationally looking forward to this 3OAK set. Will there be steel drums? Marching bands?

The Cure.. Always takes me back to their two and a half hour show on the Primavera festival in Barcelona. When i was the lucky winner of the AMAZING WFMU pledge drive price taking me there!

I remember that, Bas! Was that in 2010?

One often forgets Cowboy Junkies, but on their day they can go toe to toe with absolutely anyone. This is superb.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm

Though maybe a slouching band would be more appropriate in this case
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm

the cure was my favorite band when 17 seconds came out. i was initially disappointed in the departure from the Stellar first album, and with the synthetic drums. i appreciated it pretty quickly though and have in the past few years thought it may be my favorite cure album.

hmm. sadly, when the 5-song ep "the walk" came out i added the cure to my list of favorite bands that had turned to shit.

when the top came along i heard a few songs from it and decided to not buy it. and i stopped paying attention to them...

Fred's resume story reminds me of a friend who, many years ago, mentioned that she liked Belle & Sebastian in her personals ad, One guy signed his letter to her "If you're feeling sinsister" which all her friends though was super-creepy, but I (music nerd) thought it was damn clever.
