A new set begins: A story ,,, 'The Enemy.' Words and music by Clay Pigeon
Comment: A listener pointed out that the stereo panning of the music in the story is distracting. I can see where it might be after a time. I didn't even hear it as I recorded it with my tiny 1986 headphones on. Kind of a drag that it would distract from things, but too late to change it now, This story is similar to another I did on the show called 'Yankee Eagle Leader,' though that one was more realized with sound effects. I wish I'd taken the time to doctor this new one up a bit. Straight reading can get pretty boring after a while, especially if the story is sketchy to begin with. The Enemy was inspired by politics and the ever-escalating ferocity of it. The division of the country, and the ascent of corporate owned government. Gun loving culture and violence in general. I guess maybe you figured that out. I don't know.
