Comment: Thanks for checking out this episode of The Dusty Show. Firstly, I'd like to thank those of you pledged during the Silent Fundraiser. I didn't say much about it, but I should have at least thanked you on the air. I feel badly about that. Secondly, I am soooo far behind on my playlists. I have to go back and do the last four shows. I have found it increasingly hard to manage work and FMU, but I am trying to make it happen so, appreciate your loyalty and the nice words you send my way. I am also a bit behind (understatement) on responding to emails. It's not because I don't read them, I do, and I appreciate it so much when you take the time to write. If you are inclined ... dusty@wfmu.org You can also find me on Facebook in a couple of places. I believe I am listed under ClayPigeon39 or something like that. There is also a fangroup called Pigeonnaires you can join. I hope to post more frequently in coming days. I've just been busy. I suppose you have to. You can also find me on Twitter. I actually feel good because after an initial immersion in this social media, I don't seem to have become addicted to it. This is good. I'm glad you enjoy the digital pieces I've been making lately. They are fun for me, but quite time consuming. It can take most of my free time in a week to come up with 8-9 minutes (or less) of that type of thing. I feel I have dropped the ball a little with the interview aspect of the show, but I've been having fun with Fabio and taking a few calls. So, I guess I'll continue to mix it up and see what sticks. Well, this weekend I hope to get caught up on the playlists. I was saddened to hear of the death of Lou Reed. I didn't really mention it on-air because, quite honestly I never considered myself to be more than a peripheral fan. That said, I certainly respect Lou Reed's artistry and legacy and consider him to be one of the greats. And, like you perhaps, hearing all his music since his death I've been reappraising things and I find that I am really digging it. Funny how that works and what it takes to make us pay attention sometimes. Be well, listener, and thanks for reading this. I hope you keep listening and may you ... always remember.
