Clay Pigeon
A new set begins: The Dead Deer - A Story by Clay Pigeon (Music from Various Sources - old LPs.)
Comment: Not sure why I subject you to these stories. Usually it's when I haven't worked up the gumprion to do street interviews and I don't feel like going live, taking calls, etc. I don't have the highest opinion of my writing. Like most things I try, I am good at initially spitting some stuff out, but as far as rewrites, second drafts, shoring up story lines, improving things, I lose the ambition and move on to the next half-baked idea. This story is OK. The ending though ... I mean, it could have been better. As one listener commented, 'you've strayed into Stephen King territory.' Maybe not in a good way, either. At any rate, I hope you enjoy it. CP

Comment: ... or maybe Mott opened for Skynyrd, can't recall. Too fuzzy. Anyway, my friend Curt turned me on to BOA before they were famous. Love Jim Dandy Mangrum;s crazy voice.
Comment: So that's it! Another show in the can. Listener comments waaaaaay down the past couple of weeks, as if JD Sumner was singing the Arbitrons. My fault. Just not delivering prime product. Too lazy. Lost it. Past my prime. Run its course, all that. See you next week, though! I'll keep digging for gold and unearthing more pyrite than you can shake a stick at! That's what we do here at The Dusty Show. And I use the editorial 'we' liberally, to spread the blame around. Love ya! Keep listening. It's going to get better and worse and everything in between. Always remember.
