Comment: I often just have segments of pre-prepared show with me when I get to the station. In this instance, I had about 30 minutes of show and 30 minutes to wing-it, which is much more uncomfortable than you might imagine.

Comment: Thank you for listening to this episode of The Dusty Show on WFMU. I have to admit, when this show ended, I was a little disappointed in it. I think it's because I look forward to doing the show so much evey week that when things don't go according to plan, or if I fall short of my expectations, it can be deflating. At any rate, I enjoyed picking out the music for you and taking some calls. I am less confident without Fabio's presence it would seem. Not sure why. I' have always worked better with a foil. But, I do LOVE the challenge of flying solo. I know that one thing is true. I am used to editing pre-prepared shows where I just come in, press the button, and it's all controlled and as I want it. So, when I do a live show, my tendency is to get anxious and try to hurry everything along because sunconsciously I am trying to edit reality in the moment, if that makes sense. And if all of this sounds quite horrifically self-absorbed, I suppose it is. What the heck. ----- I have been meaning to get outside and do interviews, but to be honest, it has been COLD in NYC. And the day job, sigh, ... Thank you for listening. Thanks for your email. Phil emailed me. That was nice. dusty@wfmu.org ------------ I am glad that you are out there, reading this, somewhere. Smiles to you. Always remember ... Buffin and Glenn Frey. As flippant as I can get on the air, these losses sting me. Don't let me fool you. CPNYC1231699LAOYP
