A new set begins: It's 2:40, so we're drinking beer. Bill Zurat provides.
Comment: Today, I was joined by newcomers Chadsey Collins and Jeff Moore, as well as a couple Regulars, Jason Slack and X-Ray Burns. Curator Bill Zurat has provided us with today's suds:
Mahrs Bräu Weisse and Witkap Pater Singel, two very nice weissbiers; the first from Bavaria, Germany; the second from Belgium. Not much debate today - everyone preferred the Witkap, which actually isn't a wheat beer, but it sure comes across like one. Blessed Bill also pulled out an emergency bottle of the whimsy-inducing tripel known as Kasteelbier Blond Tripel (11% alcohol!). Like I said, Bless Bill! See you next week, when beer rater Joe Mulligan provides a few exotic examples of the most savory suds.
