A new set begins: Live performance by Nethers: Nikki West : vocals, bass/ John Passmore: guiatr, vocals/ Aaron Cosmone: guitar/ Mike Scutaro: drums
A new set begins: Washington DC's Nethers plays story-songs of doomed canaries, heiresses hiding from plagues, and parades at sea. The ensemble, rooted in a former incarnation as Carlsonics, claims their sound grew out of musicmaking in a woodland retreat. Nethers debut album, 'In Fields We Will Lie,' will be available in late September on Box Theory Records. After a rather late gig the night before, Nethers dropped by WFMUto play, with a quick snooze before airtime.
