Clay Pigeon The Dusty Show
Comment: This show opens with music from an LP I use quite often for background sound. Tim Story - Glass Green. I love it. I am sort of oddly liking mid-80's new-age lately. I've always felt that the most 'out' thing must certainly point towards what will be 'in' soon. 90's era digital keyboards for instance. That hated sterility will surely become desired at some point in the near future by its very destestability. Funny how that works. And on and on it goes.

Comment: I know I baffle some with all this Christian talk. I am not sure what it all means. I guess it was there around me when I was growing up, though I was never made to embrace it. Maybe the pure thought of it ... of the goodness at the heart of it ... the 'ideal' realization of it, sans man's interference and selfish interpretations ... maybe there is something appealing about it. Some concepts to aspire to? Especially in light of the ways of the world. I don't practice it. I don't even 'live' it. I can't dismiss it though. We're all trying to find out way towards the light ... whatever it means for each of us. At any rate, I didn't mean to be preachy or oppressive. Sometimes it just feels sentimental I guess. The old small town musty purple church with its oaken pews. I'm glad it's there.

Comment: Thank YOU, yes, YOU, for listening to this episode. I've been straying from my usual format in recent weeks, kind of taking a break from all the complicated and time-consuming production work. It's been exciting and fun ... and LAZY!!! : >) Anyway, you have responded kindly and I've been hearing a lot from the listeners which makes me happy. If you would like to write, I'd love to hear from you. Here's the e-address. dusty@wfmu.orgThe D-SAM, as you may have noticed, is currently not being used. For the uninitiated, that is the Dusty Show Answering Machine. I hope to have it up and running soon. I'll let you know.I do hope you are having a great Summer. What is it about Summer that makes me the saddest of all, compared to any other season? I am already braced against the knowledge that we are past the 'halfway point' pf psychological Summer. June-July-August. Such a beautiful, magical, hot and wonderful season. I hope you can take a little trip and get away and replenish your brain and body and spirit! I've been able to go to the Catskills and to Lake Owassa in New Jersey where I and my girlfriend went swimming and canoeing. Yea! It was great! I've also been running again, which makes me happy. Well ... enough about me. I better get going. Thanks again for listening everybody. Take care and, until next time ... always remember. Clay P
