Kidding around with Mark Eitzel and other wonderful musical nonsense.

Live Performance by Mark Eitzel

From the smooth croon of dispairing love to the bellow of mock self-loathing, Eitzel is a master of melancholic songwriting and singing. Mark has been going the solo route for a number of years, following a number of years as frontman for the American Music Club. He even has a cut on WFMU's live compilation, "Live Music from a Dead Campus." Eitzel's new album for Matador is called "The Invisible Man" and he be stopped by to play a few numbers live at the beginning of the show, interspersing his beautiful songs with good-natured self-effacement and charm.

*****My apologies to folks looking for an archive of the show. At Mark's request, the link has been temporarily removed. I hear he has a wonderful live CD available at his shows which include some radio performances. Hopefully this will satisfy your craving for more of Mark's lovely songs. Thanks for understanding! ---Irene
