Durium / Wrigley's Gum radio promo

Durium / Wrigley's Gum radio promo

"Myrt and Marge" which was sponsored by Wrigley's gum, was heard for the first time -- on CBS radio in 1931 and continued for 11 years. It was an early "soap opera" program and centered on two chorus girls who competed for the same parts and the same men. Durium made many promotional type records for business and industry as a way to expand their market and this is an example of their "JR" record line.
Paper back with shellac composite coating. 78 rpm, 1931.
