It was a Sunday night, hardly anyone there, and she texted me all excited to tell me Stevie Wonder was quietly playing a set with a couple of friends. I'll try to find the couple of pics she took.

My friend sent other friends to MM so they could buy back some of his records.

Her brother and sister still own the forty acres of farmland in NE Oceana Co., and every damn year except this disaster of one, Kate and I go out there to see my aunt and uncle and spend a week on "the Farm," which is no longer working at all but has a more-or-less functional house on it (in the summer, at least) and 18,000 wild Xmas trees from a lessee who disappeared. We keep an aluminum canoe there and spend the week just putting it in different lakes and rivers every day. It definitely occupies a lot of the territory of my heart. My aunt's ninety-three and my uncle in his late seventies, and it's really killing me to not be able to see them (and the land) this year. Though Aunt Donna did just send cookies and banana bread!

Her brother and sister still own the forty acres of farmland in NE Oceana Co., and every damn year except this disaster of one, Kate and I go out there to see my aunt and uncle and spend a week on "the Farm," which is no longer working at all but has a more-or-less functional house on it (in the summer, at least) and 18,000 wild Xmas trees from a lessee who disappeared. We keep an aluminum canoe there and spend the week just putting it in different lakes and rivers every day. It definitely occupies a lot of the territory of my heart. My aunt's ninety-three and my uncle in his late seventies, and it's really killing me to not be able to see them (and the land) this year. Though Aunt Donna did just send cookies and banana bread!
