You have children. You have a wife. For the next few days of work you concentrate on their memory. Henry fords got torn down in 2001 - they had a pictur window that looks over mount hood, with a fountain in the foreground that also spit fire. In the 70s neighbor kids would put bubble bath soap in it and the owner just decided it looked cool so they put soap bubbles in every day. So to sum up- a fire spitting fountain with bubbles hahaha

While I have been listening in for the past hour, I have not had time to chat as work is very busy today unwrapping layers upon layers of linen cloth and discarding small amulets placed by priests as it seems I woke as a MUMMY! Please don't tell Constance, I will be back to normal this evening.

Oh, I occasionally drive by The Tonga Hut, L.A.’s oldest tiki bar (which happens to be in my neighborhood), pull up into the empty parking lot, and wistfully gaze upon it, hoping it can survive all this. Save us, Sheena!

Solo lives behind the Alibi Tiki bar. @solo I was at Henry Fords closing night! I also closed down the last piano bar in Portland out by the airport maybe a year or two after that

MB great! Greg and I became friends with Lyle and Mary Ellen the piano hosts and they tried to get us to join some pyramid club cult scam they were part of. It was hilarious/ annoying.

While we do not have a swinging tiki bar here in Limbosville... Toronto has a geat one, "The Shameful Tiki Room" and extension of one that opened in Vancouver previous. notso... have you been?

I just heard that Mai-Kai Restaurant in South Florida will be (temporarily?)closing. It's a classic spot with a heavy Tiki vibe and they do a whole Polynesian Show thing. Hope the make it thru all of this craziness.

our own DJ Shangri-la used to dj, along with Suzy hotrod, at Otto's Shrunken Head in Manhattan. There's a cool various artists comp on Bandcamp to benefit it, feat. a number of the bands that play(ed) there. Support closed tiki bars, even if they're not in your town!
