In a Delhi hotel I accidently pulled a washbasin off the wall, leaning on it trying to determine whether the bug above was a mozzie or just a bug. 	1:53pm David in London: Lisa, it’s a club called Reel Cine, which screens on actual film, so we had the lovely old school sound of the projector just behind us. For a 62 year old 16mm print, it was fantastic. And it’s still really good to watch: great performances, Chushing and Lee are both on top form, good soundtrack and almost no dated special effects. An edge of eroticism and Buckinghamshire masquerading as Eastern Europe. Verdict: fangs for the memory.

Henry, we were in Minnewaska SP a couple of weeks ago, at the Sam's Point entrance and the trail around the lake there, and there were entire stands of dead evergreens. It looked like a forest that had subsided and got its roots in saltwater, though obviously that wasn't the case. Was that from the borers?

	2:11pm Really Lisa: Superb review, David (iL). Favorite Christopher Lee movies are any in which a glimpse of him sends women fleeing and inevitably tripping over nothing whatsoever. Not sure, but I think the spotted lanternflies may only have made their way from PA into NJ this year. Sort of a plague-on-pandemic lockdown, in my region.. I first noticed them in Middlesex county, NJ in early Summer, and now loads more as I'm in Mercer county, a few miles across the river from PA. If you see them, kill them *and report the sighting to your state's Dept of Agriculture. Done w/the PSA <back to my seat>

	🚂 ♥ 2:46pm chris: i think i've only eaten Ethiopian lunch once. and maybe one dinner. the lunch was served family style and was comprised of slightly fermented flat bread and many lovely dishes to adorn said flat bread. the bread is used to scoop the contents of the other dishes.
	🚂 ♥ 2:46pm spodiodi: Axum Cafe on haight in SF was my fave ethiopian place. i miss going there
	🚂 ♥ 2:47pm spodiodi: i don't really like going out to eat, but that place was an exception. took out-of-town visitors there
	🚂 ♥ 2:48pm Michael 98145: We have a large Ethiopian and Eritrean population, so we are surrounded by excellent restos.
	🚂 ♥ 2:48pm spodiodi: the guy who owns it eventually retired i think, leaving his daughter to run it all. very nice people and great food

	1:53pm David in London: Lisa, it’s a club called Reel Cine, which screens on actual film, so we had the lovely old school sound of the projector just behind us. For a 62 year old 16mm print, it was fantastic. And it’s still really good to watch: great performances, Chushing and Lee are both on top form, good soundtrack and almost no dated special effects. An edge of eroticism and Buckinghamshire masquerading as Eastern Europe. Verdict: fangs for the memory.

Henry, we were in Minnewaska SP a couple of weeks ago, at the Sam's Point entrance and the trail around the lake there, and there were entire stands of dead evergreens. It looked like a forest that had subsided and got its roots in saltwater, though obviously that wasn't the case. Was that from the borers?

	2:11pm Really Lisa: Superb review, David (iL). Favorite Christopher Lee movies are any in which a glimpse of him sends women fleeing and inevitably tripping over nothing whatsoever. Not sure, but I think the spotted lanternflies may only have made their way from PA into NJ this year. Sort of a plague-on-pandemic lockdown, in my region.. I first noticed them in Middlesex county, NJ in early Summer, and now loads more as I'm in Mercer county, a few miles across the river from PA. If you see them, kill them *and report the sighting to your state's Dept of Agriculture. Done w/the PSA <back to my seat>

	🚂 ♥ 2:46pm chris: i think i've only eaten Ethiopian lunch once. and maybe one dinner. the lunch was served family style and was comprised of slightly fermented flat bread and many lovely dishes to adorn said flat bread. the bread is used to scoop the contents of the other dishes.

	🚂 ♥ 2:48pm Michael 98145: We have a large Ethiopian and Eritrean population, so we are surrounded by excellent restos.

	🚂 ♥ 2:49pm Handy Haversack: NYC is surprisingly lacking in Ethiopian food. I know one place in BK and one in Manhattan. How I'd love it if one opened in my neighborhood. One of the great things about the Maryland/DC area.
