There's one show on the main stream/FM that still has a few drop-outs because the DJ is trying to do it live every week, and I wish they'd just pre-record a few days in advance like you do! There wouldn't be any drop-outs due to DJs' evil crappy ISPs then, would there? Or do I misunderstand how the tech works?

Mary! Everyone! Good morning.
Avatar 12:34pm
Mary Wing:

I think that the DJ has to connect to WFMU somehow and then that goes out on the air, so yeah, if the ISP isn't sending a consistent signal, drop-outs occur. But I think the receiving end at WFMU has something else that causes problems. But don't quote me on any of this! I only know that my ISP isn't robust enough to do it live.
