My son just called, they were thinking of going to Tahiti.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm

They are planning on getting a cabin where they can hike.

I was just outside catching the sunset.
Avatar 8:47pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

Hey Henry! definitely a throwback to the 90's feel to this moon child
Avatar 8:48pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

I take it back, that was a definite 80's movie quote
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49pm
Webhamster Henry:

If this was the "Lathe Of Heaven" soundtrack, you'd be listening to Laurie Spiegel...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03pm
Ike:

I barely remember that movie, but wasn't there a ton of the show's nonsensical story arc clogging it up? Only the monster-of-the-week episodes and satirical episodes were great. The story arc was 100% gibberish.
Avatar 9:05pm
TDK60:

I haven't heard the new Drummer show, will go listen soon...
Avatar 9:08pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

Highly worth it TDK!
@Ike, I thought it was a fun movie in retrospect, def had the convoluted plot lines going strong but I thought they at least kept it contained to the movie and didn't string it out like a jj abrams scenario

After its initial broadcast in 1980, Lathe was occasionally shown over the next eight years. PBS' rights to rebroadcast the program expired in 1988. The Lathe of Heaven went on to become the most-requested program in PBS history. - wikipeida

WebHenry: Never seen "Lathe" (I think-- memory gland aging, hee). I should see it, as LeGuin is a fave author.
Avatar 9:16pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

Lathe was pretty great movie if I remember right, pretty hazy though so maybe affective dreaming has changed my perspective
Avatar 9:17pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

Or I'm confusing it wth the book
Avatar 9:18pm
northguineahills:

Hmm, The Lathe of Heaven came out when I would have been too young to watch it (I was 4), and then I moved to Japan, and by the time I got back, PBS no longer had the rights to it...
Avatar 9:19pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

If you're into the small screen I think there's a copy on youtube. It was small-screen to begin with so
Avatar 9:24pm
TDK60:

I was watching a Beefheart docu. recently and halfway thru, went, "Hey! I /have/ seen this before." Gettin' up there in years, folks!
Avatar 9:25pm

I have a queue of movies to watch on youtube. I have never bought a tv, so I'm used to watching everything on my laptop.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30pm
