	♥ 10:29am Doug Schulkind: At the Tower outlet across the street from Other Music, I purchase 2-3,000 budget LPs. Sometimes left with wheelbarrowsful (almost literally) of remaindered Folkways titles at first $2, then $1, then 50¢, then 25¢ apiece. My vision of heaven.

Restaurant biz is rough any time with surprisingly high rate of failure or short lives. But when one that has been there for years goes, it is a loss.

I got breakfast cleaned up, pressure-cooked some chicken thighs, got a roux into the oven, and prepped everything else for the gumbo and cleaned the kitchen. Assembling the gumbo will flow like a cooking show. It's been a good destination:IN morning with destination:OUT.

The cost goes up and some things disappear from availability. If you don't own something, you're at the mercy of the marketplace, which doesn't always feel it has a responsibility to make its products available.
