RevRabNov63, sorry to hear that. Our fave Thai place reopened last week to our surprise & joy. They had been totally closed since early March. Restaurant biz is rough any time with surprisingly high rate of failure or short lives. But when one that has been there for years goes, it is a loss.

Poured rain again this morning, so once again I dodged the yard work bullet. I got breakfast cleaned up, pressure-cooked some chicken thighs, got a roux into the oven, and prepped everything else for the gumbo and cleaned the kitchen. I remember when people said, "You can stream any movie on Netflix." Now it's Netflix + Disney + Amazon + on-demand + various boutique channels. The cost goes up and some things disappear from availability. If you don't own something, you're at the mercy of the marketplace, which doesn't always feel it has a responsibility to make its products available.

I prefer owning this stuff as well (which would be pretty clear when you walk in my door), but between work, family. FMU listening, and sleep, the "On Deck" pile just gets bigger. Earlier in this page, there was a recommendation for Taylor Go Bynum's The Ambiguity Manifesto.. I did what I often do, searched it on Bandcamp, where I was told "you own this". I went through the pile, and, sure enough, the unopened LP is there (which I have to check out). Sheesh,...
