Wow, Gaylord twice in a week, such an indulgence! Regarding English surnames in Latin America, many of the Garífuna on the Caribbean coast of Central America have English names. One of the big soccer players in Honduras when I was a kid was Gilberto Yearwood, another was Jimmy James Bailey (pronounced "by-LAY").

my Mom's Mom lived with my (step) Grandpa next door to The Hot Grill -- but we went to Lee's numerous times when my family would visit! i recall the Pu-Pu Platter was a favorite :)
