Kiss Me Deadly is one of the most hard boiled films of any genre, noir or otherwise, ever produced. I love it and have probably watched it as many times as I've seen my all time favorite movie, "8 1/2".

Hey what's up David, seems we keep missing each other. Ooh, speaking of noir, saw a great one at Film Forum a few years back, Bunny Lake Is Missing, with Keir Dullea (astronaut Dave Bowman in 2001). KD was there himself to do a Q&A after, looked a damn sight better than his old man makeup from 2001.

Mariano, Bunny Lake is a doozy, isn’t it? Wow, seeing KD talk about it must have been really great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm
mariano:

Yeah David, one of the reasons I love Film Forum. Of course, after a few minutes all the questions were about 2001, but he seemed more than happy to oblige. Pretty good raconteur.
  4:58pm
Miss G:

OK since we are on a noir kick, just went thru my films and 1955 was quite something, not only "Rebel Without a Cause" and "The Night of the Hunter" but "The Big Knife," "Violent Saturday," "The Phenix City Story," "The Big Combo," "I Died a Thousand Times" and "Illegal." and looking reminds me to watch "The Pushover," when I saw that, Kim Novak was making me sweat. I thought "is this what it's like to be a man? No thank you."
  5:01pm
David in London:

Mariano, yeah, I can imagine, but if you are going to have a stand out film on your CV, well...

And a shout-out for some classic Brit Noir in ‘Brighton Rock’.
  5:02pm
Miss G:

Yes David, "Brighton Rock," I love how it has it's own British version of noir.
  5:05pm
David in London:

Miss G, yes, I think Graham Greene knew a thing or two about Noir...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm
mariano:

"Night of the Hunter". One of so many reasons Robert Mitchum was the coolest. Haven't seen "Brighton Rock", need to add it to the queue. Does Night and the City count as British noir? American lead and director but set in London. Either way it's amazing.
