The only time they can do navigation is over open water and even then thy could lead you into trouble: other boats, floating debris, lobsters pots... Point is know how to do it yourself and don’t leave your life in the hands of machines; it is a tool. Tool means YOU have to know how to use it.

	8:28am Snoochienucci: morning everyone! Clay, the one news story about waze sending people on a dirt road and getting stuck reminded me of a time when i was in italy. A few friends and I were trying to get to cinque terre which is a group of 5 little towns where the mountains meet the coast. GPS said we could drive in, but aparently the only way in was through a train. Ended up going up a (very) small dirt road on a mountain in a small italian rent-a-car. Luckily some local came running out and through broken english told us you cant actually drive in. Would have been very interesting if we hadnt happen to see that man! lol

The only time they can do navigation is over open water and even then thy could lead you into trouble: other boats, floating debris, lobsters pots... Point is know how to do it yourself and don’t leave your life in the hands of machines; it is a tool. Tool means YOU have to know how to use it.

	8:28am Snoochienucci: morning everyone! Clay, the one news story about waze sending people on a dirt road and getting stuck reminded me of a time when i was in italy. A few friends and I were trying to get to cinque terre which is a group of 5 little towns where the mountains meet the coast. GPS said we could drive in, but aparently the only way in was through a train. Ended up going up a (very) small dirt road on a mountain in a small italian rent-a-car. Luckily some local came running out and through broken english told us you cant actually drive in. Would have been very interesting if we hadnt happen to see that man! lol
