I only have most of these on the Buffalo Springfield box set (but seeing as my vinyl is 110km away, it's probably for the best right now).

Your son is very talented, for real. Too bad it's harder (for me) to draw on the computer than by hand.

Did anyone buy the Mono repress of Buffalo Springfield in January? I heard good things.
Avatar 10:09pm
TDK60:

Parubi, to me, a very innovative California 60s band: folk-rock scruffiness into psych, maybe one of the first longhair band to have a western feel, fringe suede jackets, etc.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:09pm
Funky16Corners:

I don't have the most recent reissues. I have originals of ll the albums, most of the 45s and other stuff, plus the box set

(i don't need to know ahead of time!)

Steamroller, but also in the heavy equipment family
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30pm
melinda:

@ngh both are large heavy equipment
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm
Matt from New Orleans:

I always found it funny that ATCO and Atlantic traded Graham Nash and Jim Furay in the aftermath of the Buffalo Springfield dissolution
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm
Matt from New Orleans:

I mean Richie Furay
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:34pm
Funky16Corners:

Nash had been on Epic with the Hollies
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm
coelacanth∅:

atco's a subsidiary of atlantic; you wouldn't think there'd have to be much wheeling and dealing there
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:35pm
Funky16Corners:

BTW This isn't just a different mix, it's a different recording than what appears on Buffalo Springfield Again

Def in the coming year. There's so much stuff, especially early on in the spin-off, solo bands that is really reflective of Buffal Springfield
Avatar 🥁 10:41pm
Erica:

It is the long version coel (according to the track listing).
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:41pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm

the mix of acoustic and elektrik geetars was astounding to me.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:43pm
Funky16Corners:

@C - Oh no, mostly originals, with some unreleased things from the boxed set
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm
Matt from New Orleans:

In his spiel C Larry mentioned the first thing he bought was the 2 LP comp this is on
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:44pm

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:44pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50pm

Earlier you were talking about For What It's Worth. I was going to a yoga class a while back and the instructor was playing a weirdly watered down version as background music. I thought it was an odd choice, given the content of the original lyrics. I think the watered down version had some lyrics missing.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:50pm

Oddly enough, the 45 version of Bluebird was a Top 40 hit

Had some of these when they came out (can't seem to find them, think they're somewhere in the LPs, but misfiled; but, I could always have leave lent them to someone and not gotten them back). The box is ridiculously complete with the 5 LPs, some that have mono versions included in both versions.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:02pm
Funky16Corners:

For years I had the original CD versions and the 1973 two LP set and some 45s, then I got the 2001 box set, then a few years ago, when I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket, I picked up clean copies of all three original albums,
