Jacksonville is also the largest city by land mass outside of Anchorage, AK, in the US.... (it has it's beautiful parts, but for a city so large, it's boring AF [grew up there]). Many kudos to the handful of peeps in J-ville trying to make things interesting....

@TWM: I don't remember any college stations doing anything interesting up there. My parents still live in Orange Park, and I gave up looking for ones years ago. Even my friends in J-ville w/ good music tastes haven't recommend any to me. I'll be up there in 5-6 weeks, so if you want to plug, plug away!

(although the dj of the alt-rock station did a John Cage [when he died]tribute when I was 15, but by the time I was in uni, it had been bought by Clear Channel).

wbcq built a massive antenna array and it was funded by a flat earth religious group. the town of monticello maine rebuilt their grid to accomodate it but a lot of the equipment they used to build it was bought from companies that went out of business and i think it's not operational yet other than tests.

i need to set up a real antenna outside. i do have a 40 ft long wire i made from a string of christmas lights i was gonna toss and it does a decent job.
