I hated this Lee Marvin track so much when I was 16! Now I love it so much. How I have changed eh? PS The local record manufacturer dumped a few thousand copies of this 7" on our rubbish dump in 1970 and I happily enjoyed trashing the lot with my "cool" friends. Now I deeply regret it. I didn't even keep one copy for posterity. Sad.

Yeah, actually my first experience of hearing easy-listening Sex Pistols (aside from their own satiric effort) was from a band playing to amuse a seaside patio brunch crowd in Brighton around the year 2000. It caused a little shock of recognition that (a) those songs had actually been around awhile by then, and (b) sure, that can be done to any song.

I've used the "Don't know what I want but I know how to get it" line a few times over the years as a job description as a dev. Few people get it, it's an old man reference

Must people always assume that someone has died whenever a DJ plays a bunch of songs by or ade famous by an artist! Just because Joe played a few Joao Gilberto songs earlier... Oh, wait.

@Asheville not that I've heard but that didn't stop Station Manager Ken from opening a set with like 17 covers of No Fun and as far as I know Iggy Pop lives
