Disappointed when Dr. John did not appear as part of the Willie DeVille ticket at The Bottom Line around 25 years ago. As advertised.

Dr John's second line started at what is now called "Kermit Ruffin's Mother in Law Lounge"....
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:44pm Matt Fiveash:

I think that was 2007 when Mac performed at the Stomp- the first year back in New Orleans after the post-Katrina exile in Memphis. So great, and Wardell Quezergue arranged & conducted the whole thing...
  1:44pm eric in sodak:

Is that Ernie K-Doe's old joint?
Avatar 1:45pm TDK60:

..there was no one else like Dr. John. (There is no place else like New Orleans.)

  1:53pm Brian in New Orleans:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm radioronan:

The Stomp is/was the creator of so many magical musical memories. Always a privilege to attend. Thanks Dr. Ike.

  2:33pm Bluesman:

Joe did you ever come across a cassette comp of LI-based bands called "Origin's of Grapefruit?" I believe it included the P-Device and other cool sounds. Had a copy that went MIA and would love to hear it again.
Avatar 2:34pm Joe B:

I did not Blues. I only knew of the band through two members going on to hypnolovewheel
Avatar 2:36pm WmKMoss:

Sounds like the helicopter had to make an emergency landing.

Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Hoboken Jack:

Hey Ken! (Hahaha re: Konnie!) Some good tunes and a surprise trip to central NJ to see an injured friend. How about you?
Avatar 2:42pm Sean B.:

I met Spiral with my ex on his Monsoon tour downstairs at The Middle East. Needless to say....the kindest gentleman you could ever imagine. He bought me and my girl Rolling Rocks all night and we just shot the shit about Echo and the Bunnymen and stuff like that...he was solo. So i got up there and played drums with him. I just happened to piss the sound guy off by walking on the stage and doing such. It was The Starlight Mints drummer's set. So when he said something...Scott just said..."He's with me". Super human being.
Avatar 2:42pm Chris from DC:

Yay
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Hoboken Jack:
