Fabio, Female trouble is my favorite too! In 1975 I knew nothing of John Waters, but I heard this insane sounding commercial on the radio with something from Hot Rats for the back round music. I couldn't resist. It was for the L.A. premier at the Las Palmas theater in Hollywood, a real dump. David, I was wondering if her voice could still handle that song! I read a review recently of a show Annette did in NYC, and it said something like that at the end she got up from the piano and left the stage, but her vocals were still playing. This made the reviewer wonder whether the entire performance had been pre-recorded.

@Tony, that's deeply weird, isn't it? Well, all I can say is that the venue (Café OTO, and you can see pictures of it online) is a small intimate room with no stage. I was in the front row, only about five feet in front of her, and if the sound hadn't have been coming out of her mouth, it would have been immediately apparent. She was doing it live, and doing it in style.

NOTE for the Record Fair: Taking the train from Manhattan or NJ? The L train is *fucked*. It will supposedly run every 20 minutes. Don't bother, that's fucking insane and you'll have to wait in a bat-shit line. Take the E or 7 to Court Sq., Queens, or the A/C to Hoyt-Schemerhorn, Brooklyn, and switch to the G there. Or walk from the J/M to the G.

G gets you closer too. Come to table H4 and say hi if you're there on Sunday.

Not exactly "bragging," but still: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/28/arts/design/el-museo-del-barrio-cancels-jodorowsky-show.html

“After she had hit me long enough and hard enough to tire her, I said, ‘Now it’s my turn. Roll the cameras.’ And I really … I really … I really raped her. And she screamed.”

Over the years, The Telegraph said, Mr. Jodorowsky has given different accounts of how that scene was filmed, denying that he committed rape and suggesting that he claimed to have done so only to shock others.
