Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 19, 2019 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

@Franco they're an introduced species here (so are European carp too actually, but they've been here so long everyone's forgotten) and they don't really smell bad they just have a negative effect on American game fish. In Asia people fish for them & they're a (bony) delicacy.

As a Nielson family this week, I have the frightfully important task of writing down in their booklet every radio broadcast we listen to for seven days. Yes, internet streaming and podcasts count as much as FM & AM radio. Neilson's method of collecting listener data with little booklets one writes in is the same as it was in the 1960s. Several WFMU programs will be included in my listening log. Very happy to include Hinky Dinky Time, Uncle Michael!l! Pedro in Arlington:

Saw Buck at his club in Bakersfield in '96. He told this joke, which isn't funny but it tells you Buck's politics even back then. "I saw Bill Clinton in front of the White House with two dogs. He said 'I got them for Hillary.' I said 'that sounds like a pretty good trade.'" Brilliant musician and businessman anyway.

Ok, maybe the Ray Price version of Me & Jimmy Rogers is from the Twistable Turnable Man comp. Don't see Price credited on Old Dogs. Now I'm starting to question everything on the internet... sorry to nitpick. Just trying to keep up.
