What really surprised me when I was in Asia how much dislike a particular culture expressed towards their neighbor. Example: In Kathmandu the locals seemed to despise the Indian community. In Southern Thailand the Lao were picked on. Not to single out Asians(don't even get me going on Italians!) Every one the wide world over suffers from the same malady, it seems.
