Mr Fab:

Yo Spacerother! Not sure I know what "Quease-rock", but whatever it is, I'm sure this is the channel for it.
Avatar 6:59pm
spacebrother:

It completely is.
Avatar 7:00pm
Otis Fodder:

I am ready to be queased.
Avatar 7:01pm
Otis Fodder:

... or bequeathed, ahem... bequeased. :)
Avatar 7:02pm
spacebrother:

Hey Otis! You will be. Last part of show.
Avatar 7:02pm
Mr Fab:

hey Otis! Re: the name of this show: Comedic performance art duo the Kipper Kids used to have a bit where one of them would have a boxing match with himself. Wonder if there's any footage of it...
Avatar 7:03pm
Mr Fab:

Ha ha ha! A Thai version of "Your Cheatin Heart" is cool enough, but Chipmunk vox too?!
Avatar 7:04pm
spacebrother:

All I know of them for footage is from the Forbidden Zone.
Avatar 7:05pm
spacebrother:

Yeah, the chipmunx vox makes it
Avatar 7:06pm
Otis Fodder:

@Fab - Love the Kipper Kids. Was very happy to have corresponded a bit with Brian in his late years (RIP to that gem of a fella).
Avatar 7:11pm
Mr Fab:

Wow , that's great Otis. i was thinking of them yesterday as i was shopping up bits from a 13 minute radio performance of theirs to add to the stream. What was up with Brian? Still thinks it's so funny that the other one is married to Bette Midler, of all people.
Avatar 7:12pm
spacebrother:

@Fab - Forgot that about the other Kipper.
Avatar 7:13pm
Mr Fab:

years before Roxy Music sang about "inflatable doll".
Avatar 7:13pm
Otis Fodder:

Brian was producing music up until his passing last year in 2018. His widow Patricia is on Facebook and often shares memories of them both and she is quite an artist herself. Lovely people.
Avatar 7:15pm
Otis Fodder:

Never heard this Mel Blanc tune. Cool!
Avatar 7:15pm
spacebrother:

"Stump the Otis" is working today!
Avatar 7:16pm
Mr Fab:

i'm not following you Mel
Avatar 7:16pm
Otis Fodder:

On Sheena's, I'm stumped easily like 80% of the time. 90% if you count in the fact that I can't remember anything more growing older. ;)
Avatar 7:17pm
Otis Fodder:

I always think of TV ads selling Jim Nabors music from the 70s when I hear him.
Avatar 7:18pm
spacebrother:

@ Otis - I'm at about 90-95%
Avatar 7:19pm
spacebrother:

I vaguely remember those ads. He seems to be forcing some sort of strange cotton-in-the-mouth accent on the this track.
Avatar 7:19pm
Mr Fab:

i know what you mean Otis: Danny played a song this morn on his comeback show, and I thought: this is great, gotta get it! Er, I already have it. And its in the stream.
Avatar 7:19pm
Otis Fodder:

It's like he attending the Leonard Nimoy school of singing and got a D.
Avatar 7:21pm
Otis Fodder:

Ha, yea, I always do that. Here's a really sad one. When my buddy Matt was on the show 2 weeks ago he played Eno's Mother Whale Eyeless, and like 30 seconds in I was like wow, what is this. When he told me, I went my god, it is. How did I forget that, I played that record to death for years. Hold on, I think I left the burner on and my keys in the door.. ;)
Avatar 7:23pm
Otis Fodder:

Peppermill net label, cool!
Avatar 7:24pm
Mr Fab:

I think "Rock-A-Boogie Piggy " could qualify as 'quease rock..'
Avatar 7:29pm
spacebrother:

Start that comp now!
Avatar 7:31pm
Mr Fab:

This version of "Light My Fire" was a staple of me and my hoodlum friend's Vegas road trips. I was in charge of the mix tapes.
Avatar 7:33pm
Otis Fodder:

Doing a bit of the boogaloo here.
Avatar 7:33pm
spacebrother:

How can you stop when your feet say "go?"
Avatar 7:34pm
spacebrother:

@ Fab - I probably got the track from you.
Avatar 7:38pm
Mr Fab:

these do sound familiar!
Avatar 7:40pm
spacebrother:

I think he says "you'll be f'ckn sorry."
Avatar 7:42pm
Mr Fab:

Oh man, Rank Sinatra, forgot about this guy! I remember reading that he would come out in high heals, and send most of his performance curled in a fetal position on stage screaming the vox.
Avatar 7:43pm
spacebrother:

Here's your "quease-rock."
Avatar 7:43pm
spacebrother:

Wish I'd seen Rank Sinatra perform.
Avatar 7:45pm
Mr Fab:

me likee "Go Go Chimbora".
Avatar 7:48pm
spacebrother:

The CD these came from is amazing, but I can only listen to about 2 or 3 tracks before my vision starts to swim and my stomach starts sloshing around.
Avatar 7:50pm
Mr Fab:

oh, so THAT'S "quease rock"!
  7:51pm
Martinibomb:

Fun show today! was out for a walk for most of it
Avatar 7:51pm
Mr Fab:

i def would have thought that adding lyrics to the "Mission Impossible" theme would be a, well, impossible mission.
Avatar 7:52pm
spacebrother:

Oh hey MartiniB!
Avatar 7:52pm
Mr Fab:

ha, complete with an atonal banjo solo. Genius.
  7:53pm
Martinibomb:

this atonal song ... I love!
Avatar 7:53pm
spacebrother:

@Fab - I am sort of obsessed with instrumentals with lyrics added later. I should do a show sometime. I might have enough tracks.
Avatar 7:54pm
spacebrother:

@Martini - Look him up. He does bluegrass songs about economic theory. Amazing shit. I'll play more on another show.
Avatar 7:56pm
Mr Fab:

I have an album by a biologist who has a bluegrass band playing songs about evolution n stuff.
Avatar 7:58pm
Otis Fodder:

Thanks for the tunes and toons this week Greg!
Avatar 7:58pm
Mr Fab:

Super fun show, thanks muchly Spacebrother!
