They dropped the Pan African shows, they tightened the belt on the opera show until there was no time left to air even a waft of opera, and so it disappeared. WFMU succeeds, sure, because of the listeners, but the proximate cause, to my ear, is the DJs, staff/volunteers, and SMK.
