Favoriting Cratedigger's Lung with Rich In Washington: Playlist from March 8, 2019 Favoriting

Rich in Washington's avatar View Rich in Washington's profile Favoriting

A three-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity's hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet - all mixed live. We don't judge, we just play 'em. Hosted by Rich in Washington.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm

I do know I bought hundreds of 7" at Value Village. Goodwill won't carry 7" records for some reason.
  7:15pm
Martinibomb:

any stories about the records you dug up for your Dj premium?
Avatar 7:15pm
Mr Fab:

a $20 (or more) pledge gets you Richard Youngs "Summer Through My Mind": Amazon sez: "it's not like any Country album one has heard before. There are familiar elements scattered about - slide-guitar, heartfelt vocals, dark lyricism - but these pieces exist like alienated rocks from a planetary explosion of long ago. The discomfited guitar lines create patchy connections, and Youngs's unmistakable singing seals things right up. The album draws together a story Youngs wrote as a child, involving bad people and dark spirits, with some lyrics written by his own six-year-old son." sounds pretty cool.

Beautiful Dishwasher? Diswasher Pete out there?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm

I think the Don & John Lampien one is interesting because I posted the song on my blog years ago and it attracted their whole family, who had never heard their record.
