This piece playing now reminds me of the piano stylings of John Larkin (Scatman John) but a bit more dissonant and avantgarde.

Archivist Vivian:

They're a nice group. I always like being introduced to new artists on WFMU. I've found so many!
Avatar 4:53pm
Jeff Moore:

Definitely great to hear some Roches re-surfacing. I enjoyed hearing "Love Radiates Around" even though "Another World" was the only Roches album I didn't immediately take to when it was released – it seemed horrifically overprocessed compared to those great Fripp-produced albums.

But basically any Roches is better than no Roches, and it's good to hear this one with later ears.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54pm
Ike:

For a second there, "when Russia was white" brought something *very* different to mind that what I'm sure Blossom Dearie meant, given the KGB President-for-Life's reactionary whip-up-the-mob methods.

YOU ARE SINGING MY SONG!!! I despise the plastic bags you describe. I NEVER use them (anymore) for several years. An abomination to the environment!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm

Koko seems to agree
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm
coelacanth∅:

...though i get plastic bags occasionally when i need one to line my kitchen or bathroom trash bin. (and it probably hurts the environment less than a paper bag does)
