It's our eleventh annual live broadcast from Brooklyn's legendary Balkan and East European music and dance blowout! Golden Fest is a massive two night gathering of musicians, folk dance enthusiasts and fans held at the spectacular Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn's South Slope.

The festival kicks off with a multi-band dance party on Friday night January 18th. Then for the big event on Saturday night January 19th, some sixty bands will perform on five stages from 6 pm until the wee hours. We'll bring you Saturday night's early action live from the Grand Ballroom, center stage of this fabulous Balkan-inspired bacchanal.

Massive thanks to our illustrious engineer and tech director Irene Trudel and our volunteer crew:

Marcus Acosta
Rob Christiansen
Katie Gentile
Kim Howie
Darren Mabee (Board Op)

The Golden Festival's youth ensemble, Cocek Nation, is crowdfunding for a summer trip to Macedonia and Serbia to study with traditional musicians and perform at two festivals. But the deadline to raise the funds is January 31st and they're still a long way from the goal. Please lend your support with a donation here. Thanks!
