The thing about The Beatles is they cross pretty much all cultures and age groups. My dad was an elderly Jewish war survivor and was really saddened by John Lennon’s death in 1980. And my mom genuinely loved them because they rebased a few early singles in German which was a big deal back in the 1960s.

Also, saw someone much younger than me on the train tonight with a brand new LP of “Please Please Me” (reissue) and she was fair from a hipster.
