The thing about not enjoying hitting your head against a corkboard wall resonated with me. Somehow the blows to the head that you used to shake off hurt more when you reach a certain point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 12/8/18 11:43am Michael Shelley:

I am also almost 55 and am a twelve year old boy for the most part - but when forced to confront two days of repeated 10 flight stair climbs & head bashings, your body sends messages to you and lets you know that, at least physically, you are not as young as you were

Baby. Almost every day of my life is spent experiencing that exact feeling. Ouch!

Late December back in '63 was a good time to kick off, but ya it's a while ago. I have chronic aches and pain. It just runs in the background like that dumb commercial radio station at work for me usually. Sometimes though you really do notice it.

Mike, are you familiar with the (now defunct) San Francisco bands Girls? Their songwriter is Christopher Owens. He has written MANY modern songs that sound absolutely classic, yet they still retain his own feel. "Saying I Love You" would be a perfect example.
