Dracula and his police siren.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:07pm Otis Fodder:

Just goes to compound the notion of looking behind the counter at corner shops to see if there is any dusty vinyl like this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:08pm Otis Fodder:

Yea, I caught Dracula, the siren, and wind.
  Fri. 11/30/18 3:10pm ?:

Hey hey, isn't this the most beautiful tune (not my set).
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:10pm Otis Fodder:

Hey Steven. I like your name change, like Prince to the sign, you are the ?
  Fri. 11/30/18 3:12pm OlDirtyBalogh:

I'm new to this, currently (
I guess) logging in...

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:24pm Marshall Stacks:

  Fri. 11/30/18 3:27pm OlDirtyBalogh:

Man, me too. 100% enthusiasm thatwaways if Kramer wasn't (ostensibly) a crummy dude.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:27pm Otis Fodder:

Ann Magnuson should be a staple on repeat on this show. Love her too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:28pm Otis Fodder:

This show just goes to prove that I now want all the records my friends have. Killer stuff on the show this week Steven/Matt!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:29pm Rich in Washington:

It seems like every band/artist bio of those who've crossed paths with M. Kramer has always ended acrimoniously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:30pm Rich in Washington:

This show's rockin', Otis, Matt and ? !
  Fri. 11/30/18 3:30pm OlDirtyBalogh:

Yeppers Rich. Read the Dean Wareham bio a minute ago. Ann herself, f'in' goddess, has yet to write one (because she just keeps movin' on).
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:32pm Rich in Washington:

I sure do love the Shimmy Disc roster, though. What a time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:35pm Webhamster Henry:

This is "Take Back Your Rhumba" by Harold Rome, and it's pretty funny!
  Fri. 11/30/18 3:36pm OlDirtyBalogh:

JUGGLING>UNDERRATED
  Fri. 11/30/18 3:46pm OlDirtyBalogh:

Divisive opinions on juggling, I am the chat-stopper. Zydeco should start some...

BADASS
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 3:48pm Otis Fodder:

I think we found the secret passcode to freeze the chat room for 10min - JUGGL...ing (I was careful not to spell it out).
  Fri. 11/30/18 3:49pm OlDirtyBalogh:

What nobody knows is we're all Juggaloes in full make-up on here.
  Fri. 11/30/18 3:56pm OlDirtyBalogh:

Said band---> youtu.be...

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 4:19pm Otis Fodder:

3 guys being silly playing songs.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:29pm Archivist Vivian:

Hello!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:30pm Archivist Vivian:

I was cruising Ebay. I bought a weird cassette listed as outsider music. The cover art is really odd.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:31pm Archivist Vivian:

i.ebayimg.com... See for yourself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 4:31pm Rich in Washington:

That looks intriguing, AV!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 4:41pm Otis Fodder:

Interesting Viv, looks cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 4:41pm Rich in Washington:

I sure do love Crass! Still.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 4:44pm Otis Fodder:

Here too, since my first turn on as a teenager with Best Before.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:48pm Martinibomb:

I like Crass too but I feel like i've never listened to them as much as I would like. Cool band.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:49pm Archivist Vivian:

Back! Had to go for a bit.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:52pm Archivist Vivian:

Love that reverb.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:53pm Martinibomb:

I'm all about reverb over cowbell
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 4:54pm Otis Fodder:

More Omo, www.ubu.com...
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 4:57pm Archivist Vivian:

That Human Expression song reminded me of this all-girl group from the 60s called The Daisy Chain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:01pm Otis Fodder:

Love The Daisy Chain and a nice Sundazed reissue of that album a few years back. I want to pick up The Human Expression album that Matt played, www.discogs.com...
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:04pm Archivist Vivian:

It's a shame Daisy Chain only made one LP and one single.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:09pm Archivist Vivian:

Saw Cosby live in 2011. I can't believe I was in the same room as him, after what we found out. Did you ever hear about how he would make people watch him eat curry backstage before TV appearances?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:10pm Rich in Washington:

I still have the cosby drug record, my lp of Del Monte canned food ads, Disco Bill, and Silver Throats but tossed all his comedy records.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:10pm Rich in Washington:

I'm missing the Hooray for the Salvation Army Band in the great purge of ought-five.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:12pm Otis Fodder:

Purged all Cosby, but did keep Smackwater Jack by Quincy, even though Bill is on a cut. But yea, my shelves were getting sort of swarmy so sorry cosby. Nice point, Sgt Peppers and Drugs were passed to a friend who said, I'll take em'!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:12pm grantbob:

Couch Flambeau!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:13pm Otis Fodder:

I purge a lot. Have a rule with shelf space, no future shelves. So when it gets full, stuff has to go. I think I'll talk about record collecting and purging next week and have a cry/joy session.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:14pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Yep - I kept Smack Water (but skip) and dumped the Bad Drugs LP.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:15pm Otis Fodder:

That Quincy LP is sooooo good!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:17pm Archivist Vivian:

Pineapple on pizza doesn't really sound as gross as some make it out to be. I'd probably try it, but I don't think it'd be my cup of tea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:17pm Otis Fodder:

Pineapple Pizza Party!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:19pm Archivist Vivian:

Otis, may I plug my album here?
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:20pm Don-O:

I have had one too many pineapple pizza in public to comment right now. So, I vote yea!!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:21pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Pineapple - yes. Potato and/or ketchup - hell to the no.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:21pm Otis Fodder:

Viv, go for it!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:22pm Martinibomb:

In Italy once I got a slice of pizza I thought it had Gorgonzola on it but it turned out to be chunks of potatoes super gross. My guess it was for British tourists? Chips and pizza??
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:23pm Don-O:

Ketchup on fries and hash browns, yup....but not on backed potato. We're ALL programmed.....
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:24pm Archivist Vivian:

Okay! So, I've been working on this record. It's recorded on cassette and is some mood-swingy lo-fi music that borders on psych folk at times. Strong influences from outsider artist and private press records, it deals with subjects of friendship, trauma, happy moods, and frustrations.
It is called "Doll" and is dedicated to my friend. deirdre-airlines.bandcamp.com...
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:24pm Martinibomb:

If you want to talk gross things.. in elementary school they would slice a baked potato and throw in a reddish/green hot dog from some WWII rations they had laying around. They called it a, "Frankenspud."
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:24pm Rich in Washington:

I'm thinking of going out for Indian pizza as soon as we're all done here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:25pm Otis Fodder:

Sweet! Yea, anyone can promote anything they want here. The persuasive factors are very friendly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:25pm Otis Fodder:

Frankenspud, I'd try it. ONCE.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:25pm Archivist Vivian:

They should have just made hardtack.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:27pm Martinibomb:

@Viv here's my lo-fi version of Hank Williams - made this in about 5mins on SP-404Sx sampler. soundcloud.com...
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:28pm Archivist Vivian:

I'll take a listen, opened it up in a new tab.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:30pm Martinibomb:

I want to do a country/gospel album for my next music project. Checking your new Dr. Airlines right now.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:30pm Archivist Vivian:

I have an artist that would be good with the show. Otis, if you remember when I sent you that folder of songs by Damaskas, I have recordings from an artist named Susan "Sulu" Dubow who appeared on some of his songs. They're mostly felicitous comedic guitar tunes.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:31pm Archivist Vivian:

I wanna move to Canada one day. I think it's the right place for me. I have a friend in Sault Ste Marie who makes really great lo-fi music and her and I want to live together.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:32pm Otis Fodder:

Go visit her and if you both visit Montreal, you have a tour guide! Record shops and food!!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:33pm Archivist Vivian:

Her name is Shae Tull, and she's been doing performances in various small clubs. shaetull.bandcamp.com...
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:33pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm gonna split for half an hour or so - radio on in the background :-) Great show this week! I'll see everyone in Don-O's room :-)
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:34pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

The bed music on Flange is Mrs Mills ;-)
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:34pm Archivist Vivian:

She's performed in Montreal I think. We're releasing a split-EP soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:34pm Otis Fodder:

Thanks Georgy! See ya on the flipside, the don-o-side!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:34pm Archivist Vivian:

I want those rare Mrs. Miller records from the 50s that she made for children.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:34pm Don-O:

Kinda glad that Nimoiy didn't do a X-mas album
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:34pm Otis Fodder:

Very cool Viv, will check out post-show.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:35pm Don-O:

Balance Of Power was pretty good and it is better than Zoom.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:36pm Otis Fodder:

Still can't do Balance (and only 1 or 2 cuts from Zoom). But my ELO tastes will change in time, my tastes/mood always does.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:38pm Rich in Washington:

i just gave my son his first Mrs. Miller record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:39pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:39pm Rich in Washington:

I just recently bought Radio KAOS. I am not sure why. I do like that there's someone singing 'why am I reading these instruction manuals'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:40pm Rich in Washington:

My son's gotten the sampling things from records bug, but not sure weirdo records are his thing, but I have been giving him my duplicates.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:40pm Otis Fodder:

I flashback and buy things from the past regularly, to see if they hold up. Tried Radio KAOS a few years back but it went into the purge bin. But I try.
  Fri. 11/30/18 5:41pm OlDirtyBalogh:

Prescient like Orwell, Bobby Conn.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:41pm Archivist Vivian:

Kurt Cobain did a great acoustic set on KAOS.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:42pm Otis Fodder:

Yea, this Bobby album is on my want list now. Kick ass!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:42pm Rich in Washington:

Waters lost me somewhere around The Final Cut, even though I was embarrassingly over obsessed with The Wall as a teenager.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:42pm Otis Fodder:

I love Radio KAOS. Just not the Roger Waters album. This show was on KAOS Austin in 2009/2010.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:43pm Rich in Washington:

Jackie Rogers Jr.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:43pm Don-O:

"Jesus on crack" Sounds like a SubGenius sermon
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:44pm Archivist Vivian:

Jesus smokes crack? I recall David Peel saying that the pope smokes dope!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:44pm Rich in Washington:

the cover to that Bobby Conn record is amazing!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:44pm Don-O:

....BTW, the title track of Radio Kaos has such a repetitive beat that I get into a beat trance.
  Fri. 11/30/18 5:51pm OlDirtyBalogh:

Et voila, chat shuts up when something released in the last 5 years appears.
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:55pm Don-O:

MORE RAP TALL TAILS!!!
Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:56pm Archivist Vivian:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:56pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:56pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Fri. 11/30/18 5:58pm Archivist Vivian:

Woah...What is this?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:59pm Otis Fodder:

It's like a repeating pattern, almost every show I either cue up the wrong song, or at the wrong speed, or miss the ending and the next song starts. That's how I roll. All live, no edits.
Fri. 11/30/18 5:59pm captain mike in port Whitby:

Sounds like a Bryan Ferry nightmare
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 5:59pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/30/18 6:00pm Otis Fodder:

  Fri. 11/30/18 6:00pm OlDirtyBalogh:

This is a track from the 1st Pink Mountaintops LP, excised for brevity. I played in that group awhile, received it on a cdr of tunes to learn.
