Venice appears to be severely flooded this week
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:04pm melinda:

Hi Thatch! Nice to hear you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:06pm ultradamno:

Beasts of Satan into Rota isn't a transition you get on just any station.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:08pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I always say!:
...'Young Frankenstein' may not be a profound movie
...but it is a perfect movie!!...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:09pm Richard S:

Hello! (Pics of Venice under the current "acqua alta": www.theatlantic.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:10pm Michael 98145:

@Richard S, oh, cripes
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:14pm Richard S:

Sea level rise + Venice slowly settling into the mud = many, many Acqua Altas.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:20pm Rich in Washington:

I loved the score to Upstream Color. I need to watch that film again, too.
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:21pm Trick-or-Trick:

Love for "Young Frankenstein",(horse whinny).
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:22pm Rich in Washington:

I had the weird experience of walking in the middle of the movie, my wife going 'you HAVE to watch this. It's crazy', and then we watched it together from the beginning because she wanted to figure out the stuff she missed. It made it a bit weirder, I think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:24pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Young Frank hit me @ just the right adolescent age too...
& Frankenstein is 200 this year...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:25pm Cooh John:

Mel Brooks is a genius, IMHO.
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:26pm Trick-or-Trick:

Ditto
  Tue. 10/30/18 7:26pm Listener Robert:

"What Shall We Do With a Drunken Sailor" was used in the movie of "Seconds", which I saw at the Whitestone Drive-In with my parents. Mother said she used to sing that while bathing me in the kitchen sink.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:28pm Rich in Washington:

Carnsarnit!
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:28pm glenn:

frau blucher! *cues rich*
Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:28pm Listener Robert:

"Seconds" was alluded to thematically and via a little shot-for-shot in my friend's TV serial "Lost".
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:29pm Richard S:

OK, my fellow commenters, just gonna toss this out to see what happens. What's your favorite horror movie soundtrack/theme?
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:29pm glenn:

oops. *cues trick-or-treat*
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:30pm glenn:

farging icehole.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:31pm Rich in Washington:

@Richard S: it's probably Ennio Morricone's Magic and Ecstasy from Exorcist 2: The Heretic. My 2nd is Experiment in Terror by Mancini.
Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:31pm Listener Robert:

My favorite has to be that of "Halloween", which I first heard as the mood music in the ABC Sports documentary of the bicycle Race Across America.

Next to that, I guess that to "Cannibal Holocaust", which I still haven't seen but got played here last night and which is used as the opening theme music for the excellent weekly streamed program "Fright Day" that I listen to on the Dark Matter Digital Network.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:32pm ultradamno:

My favorite: Find a stranger in the alps
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:35pm Richard S:

I find myself humming the theme from "Psycho" when I get stressed out at work....(grin)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:36pm Rich in Washington:

Goblin's Suspiria score is really good too. But the Shining soundtrack is also excellent, but criminally out of print.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:36pm melinda:

Tubular Bells is good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:36pm Rich in Washington:

The whole Psycho score is really good.
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:37pm leylou:

this Conversation theme music is so hitting the right spot for me right now .. (beside reminding me how much I loved it when watching the movie)
Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:38pm Listener Robert:

Have you heard Neil Cicierega's hilarious mashup of the "Pscyho" theme with "Love Shack", "Love Psych"? Play it for somebody by surprise and if they're familiar with "Psycho" they should LOL when, a few measures in, it becomes apparent that's part of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The Psycho strings influenced 'Eleanor Rigby'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:41pm melinda:

@leylou I don't remember it from the movie but I love it too
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:41pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Walla!...everybody say 'rhubarb' ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:41pm Rich in Washington:

There's a whole album worth of Walla Walla Walla'ng on Free Music Archive. It's handy for lots of things.
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:42pm Trick-or-Trick:

Richard S., score from Ugetsu or Kureneko.
And yeah,Psycho!
And, yeah,The Exorcist!
(and,and,and...)
Oh, Rosemary's Baby!
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:42pm Trick-or-Trick:

...The Last Wave!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:43pm Rich in Washington:

Yes. Rosemary's Baby! The recentish reissue is great.
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:48pm Trick-or-Trick:

My husband and I are always aware of walla wherever we are.
There are places we go to because we like the ambient sounds and places we avoid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:49pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...they were always going 'rhubarb rhubarb' on the Goon Show...
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:50pm melinda:

Rosemary's Baby, of course
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 10/30/18 7:50pm ultradamno:

Wasn't sure if that was a train on the recording or the one that rolls by a few blocks from my house
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:51pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I'm all into being a Monster Kid now
...but for Soundtracks - I can only think of SciFi...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:51pm JakeGhould:

Boo Thatcher! Happy to hear you on the air.
Avatar Tue. 10/30/18 7:52pm Trick-or-Trick:

RevRab, I'm nuts for Goon Show.

Thatchmo, always great to hear you. Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:55pm Richard S:

RevRab, how about the theme song for "The Blob"? (Beware of the Blob, it creeps, it seeps, it slides, it glides...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Shall I recite the whole 'Celebration of the Lizard' for you?
...No??...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/30/18 7:57pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
