Jeff every version I hear of Calvary Cross is great. Do you have a favorite version?
  12:24am
Jeff Conklin:

Definitely that live version is my fave

These are really hitting the spot. Thanks Jeff!

@colin: Coming from Hampton?
  1:01am
Agent Peter:

@colin
I have a great old commemorative ash tray from the bridge tunnel.
No idea why.
  1:01am
colin h:

Yes. First set was sick. Trey was laughing a lot. YEM second encore.
  1:02am
Carmichael:

Can you play some Amon Duul III?
  1:03am
colin h:

I would like a magnet
  1:04am
Agent Peter:

It's the BSU Pavillion. Was there in 1983.

Hi Jeff,

Greeting from a 2800-year-old city Yerevan, Armenia.

Love your show out there.

Druggie people in California? Where do you get your information? No one takes drugs out here. I think.

Not stuck in traffic but thanks for the SO! (I’m 300 seconds behind)

Excuse my inquiry during this sacred set of music coming up but did DJ JC not do the singles going steady thing?
  1:10am
Agent Peter:

7, 8. 9. 10.....
  1:11am
Carmichael:

@Franco, I’m too high to argue with you.
  1:11am
Agent Peter:

mb asking the question on many of our minds...
Avatar 1:13am

Why would I do that?

caliornia here:

@Franco I get my information from Buds & Roses in Los Angeles: http://www.budsandrosesla.com/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am
Franco Twinkie:

Carmichael, in your opinion, what is the best strain to minimize arguing? I have to see my mom tomorrow and I'd like to go prepared.
Avatar 1:15am
mb:

"One dollar bid, now two, now two, will ya' give me two? Two dollar bid, now three, now three, will ya' give me three?, why didn't DJ JC so the singles going steady thang, TEN dollar bid, now two, now two, will ya' give me two? Two TEN bid, now three, now three, will ya' give me THIRTY?"
Avatar 1:16am
Jeff Conklin:

When they invent a 7" that can hold 20 minutes per side....
  1:17am
caliornia here:

@Franco, please do not get high to avoid arguing with your mom. Could be a disaster. Try meditating before you see her, or try talking to her calmly to diffuse any tension. Disengage...
Avatar 1:17am
mb:

You could tape a bunch together like DJ Olivia did.
Avatar 1:18am

Never was one for whacky radio hijinks

Cali - will do! that and a breakfast burrito.
  1:19am
california here:

Yum! sounds great...
  1:19am
Agent Peter:

Fabio, JA in the AM, etc. seem to manage.
Not going to contribute to a downward spiral. Done commenting but will keep listening.
  1:20am
rw:

Pretty good odds my daughter is seeing Phil Lesh right now.

Good call on the wacky radio hijinks. Though they do have their time and place...
  1:20am
Dean:

Heh, going to visit my mom tomorrow. I'll be traveling 400 miles south to do so. Argument is the least of my worries.
  1:20am
Agent Peter:

And by contribute, I meant to the conversation, not the station.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22am
Franco Twinkie:

Dean, I have a feeling there'll be a few burritos and then some on the docket.
  1:22am
MONEYBAG$:

I always take a break from listening during singles going steady week. imposing a gimmicky format is kind of a turn off tbh
Avatar 1:22am
Jeff Conklin:

Amazed that you feel the need to complain about it, Agent Peter. I've never done it, and I see no reason to change that. All the more power to those who participate, it makes no sense for my program, which I work extremely hard on week in and week out.
  1:26am
california here:

@Franco & Dean: Also, accept that a lot of moms have been in shitty moods ever since the Kavanaugh confirmation (and that's just the most recent trigger). Be kind...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27am
Alex of Chicago:

I've given more money than most of you. JC gets a pass on this one.
  1:31am
Agent Peter:

An observation is not necessarily a complaint. Sorry you see it that way, And nobody questioned your work ethic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32am
Franco Twinkie:

Cali - you must have a mom who is probably about my age. I'm dealing with a completely different set of variables.
Avatar 1:33am
Jeff Conklin:

I'm thankful I never got into collecting 7s/45s, not enough time for that. Amazed at people who can sift through boxes upon boxes of them, I don't have the desire/patience.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35am
Franco Twinkie:

Well Jeff, I guess you don't have a copy of Stealin' on Scorpio. Found it in a trash pile.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35am
Alex of Chicago:

One person's 45s is another man's bootleg tapes. It's all good.
Avatar 1:36am
mb:

Phish is a whacky band, jftr. Play more.
Avatar 1:37am
Jeff Conklin:

@mb: I'll play all their singles next week
  1:37am
california here:

@Franco gotcha...good luck! (my mom's in her 70s btw but wasn't really thinking about her, more about moms in general)
Avatar 1:37am
Jeff Conklin:

@Franco: Wow, thats a crazy score.
  1:38am
rw:

Looking back I wish I had collected more punk rock records / singles when I was a kid. But at the time I didn't like that stuff on records so much. Only live.
  1:38am
Dean:

Thanks, @california here. Politics will not be much of an issue. I'll be addressing ongoing care issues. @rw, I'll be in your neck of the woods, but as usual, likely unavailable to head to Olde Ship for a beer.

One thing I like about the internet and web: the opportunity to hear shows like this. One thing (among many) I don't like: the almost certain distortion of communication. Many of the proponents of these technologies had other, more selfish interests than clear communication to serve. I am no fan of Vint Cerf, Tim Berners-Lee, and their ilk. They will have much to answer for.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40am

It's nutty, I know. Yard sale in Alemeda, across the bay.
  1:40am
rw:

Dean, have a good trip and say hello to your mom from all of us! We'll get to that Olde Ship one of these days.
  1:42am
rw:

Franco, same goes for the visit with your mom!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46am
Franco Twinkie:

Thanks RW. I'm going with a love offering - a flat of Last Chance peaches.
  1:47am
Dean:

Thanks, @rw. It'll be good (I hope) and quick, anyway.
