old ERIC thee hat:

A coworker remembered a time when he had to work with a young lady who asked how to time the cooking of an item and he pointed to the analog clock on the wall...at which she replied...”I can’t read circle time”. !!! Is this the basis of yr show naming?
  3:04am
old ERIC thee hat:

We have high hopes here
  3:05am
old ERIC thee hat:

Hopefully I conveyed the situation aptly.
  3:05am
markr:

No, but I like your interpretation better. The real story is kind of stupid and I shan't share it. Best to leave it to the individual to determine.
  3:06am
old ERIC thee hat:

Hahaha. I love it.
  3:07am
old ERIC thee hat:

Forever will I think of yr show when I look to an actual clock for the time.
  3:08am
markr:

I wonder what future fighter pilots are going to do.

hey Mark R .... - off to nice start! Thanks

Believe it or not, I too have difficulty trying to remember analog clocks since my stroke. I can do it, but it takes effort, which is... frustrating. Math is now not effortless also, even simple addition.

  3:14am
markr:

This was actually my ORIGINAL old time slot, on the summer schedule of 2016, then I went to Sunday overnights/Monday mornings. Hey Billy!

i always think of "sway", and in a context as that, when i think of "circle time". (and i know you know that song)

I like the show!
  4:16am
markr:

Thanks Kelly, nice to have you aboard. Hi Neil!
  4:57am
markr:

Now believe it or not, this Sumac track was actually one I had planned to play. Most of the rest of the show has been very spur-of-the-moment.
  5:10am
markr:

You've gone very quiet out there. I know what's going on--I either freaked everybody out with that Sumac track or I put everybody to sleep with this Craig Taborn track.
  5:14am
riobec99:

not at all asleep, maybe a little overwhelmed. btw excellent track by taborn and mori

For Kristin Hersh, you get a pass twenty times over.
  5:39am
markr:

A pass for all the crappy music I played earlier?
Avatar 5:40am
Scraps:

No, just a pass for future things, if needed.
  5:41am

Nice catch. A Get Out of Jail Free card, as it were...

(I could have said, for future Grateful Dead live, but I didn’t.)

Catch, and then threw away. ;-)
  5:44am

Jeff Conklin needs that particular pass more than I do. Although I confess to a couple of live Dead tracks.

Somebody last week got after Joe D for playing fortyfive minutes of rap (“music” in quotes, don’t you know). (Really.)
