Today the no. 1 on my wantlist of singles by girls/girlgoups arrived with the post: Goldie with the original version of the Goffin-King sing Goin' back. Unfortunately it's not the withdrawn single on Immediate. Good early evening all, glad to be tuning in. I just had a crazy experience that I feel compelled to share with people. I was walking into my apartment complex just now, and a lively group of children came flying around the corner, down the set of four stairs in the lobby. One very small girl was pushing an even tinier baby girl in a stroller down the stairs and she tumbled right over. The baby could've landed head first with the stroller and her sister on top of her. Nothing went through my head, there were no thoughts, I just suddenly I found I was holding two little girls and a stroller in my left hand. All safe and sound, no tears no injuries. The parents were like 15 behind and unaware that a friendly neighborhood drunken creep had just protected their little ones. I guess those reflexes are real. Feeling pretty good about that unusual moment now. Also, nice choice of Harry Belafonte just there, glad he could be the occasional man today!
