Tasmania used to be very different to the rest of Australia being an island state, but the advent of technology has eroded that somewhat. If you like the wilderness it is special indeed.

At the moment, Kathia Buniatishvili's recital of songs in honor of her "Motherland" is playing one room away. She and Palmieri are competing with each other, but I can tell that they're mutually sympathetic.

and i have fond memories of summers in the house my father grew up in on hobart rd. -southold long island. it was years before i knew where that name came from.
things apparently haven't changed that much there, even though all the potato farms have turned into grape (wine) farms.
