Cruisin' low Marty. Psyched for the Megadeth.

I love Marty's pic of the old car stereo. Not too many remember pulling out the buttons to set the station.

Ken From Hyde Park:

Yep, that and no FM, 8-track, cassette, CD, USB or Bluetooth capability ... just AM mono radio.

I'm old. Learned to drive in 1977 in a '63 Mercury Monterey. That single, but rather large, speaker in the dash had remarkably kickin' bass.

I learned in '75 in a '71 cadillac with am/fm radio, and later drove a "57 vw convertible that had an am radio

My older brother had a FM converter for his old car, he bolted it under the dash. Later he rigged a car stereo that could be pulled out so it couldn't be stolen, that was late 70s.

I think the stereo was an old Pioneer Super Tuner

Shout out to anyone in the 1980s who went to Canal Street and Greene Street and wonder if one of the car stereos guys had for sale on the street was the one that got jacked from your car.

Jake: I had a friend who bought hot audio equipment from a friend who later stole his audio equipment, out of his house. Circle of life!

Stevel:

Also, I had a Radio Shack cassette player under my seat. Wired in two decent speakers. Chevy Nova hatchback. Rug remnant for the back. It was a good rig.
