Beefless:

I like this trippy space mass
Avatar 3:17am
mark1981:

@Beefless, there's a version that is also at half this speed, which is amazing! twice the fun for twice as long
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17am
The Count of Al Dente:

Thanks for playing this. It's one of my favorites. I got a copy of the Paris bootleg around 1986 at this small record shop that was around the corner from my apartment in Brooklyn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19am
coelacanth∅:

doesn't that cd issue also have one of the tracks backward?
Avatar 3:19am
mark1981:

@The Count, you bet! And oh my the 1986 Paris bootleg. Awesome
Avatar 3:20am
mark1981:

@coelacanth, yes. It's got all kinds of great inversions/ rewinds/ slowdowns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22am
The Count of Al Dente:

One of these pieces will be in my Memorial playlist for when I keel over.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22am
coelacanth∅:

i considered buying it but i decided i was being a spoiled brat since i have the record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23am

Jeez Louise, Fripp is giving me the chicken skin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am
coelacanth∅:

i'd like to hear that bootleg. 1975. both of them in great form at the time.
Avatar 3:24am
mark1981:

@coelacanth, tell someone you'd like it as a gift! then you're conscience can be clean and you'll have a sweeeet album to boot
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26am
The Count of Al Dente:

coela, do you use Soulseek? I may have it available there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28am
coelacanth∅:

Count, i never have - though people have told me to get on that for over 10 years now! i'm not super savvy with the computer world.
  3:32am
Beefless:

O Yeah. Totally forgot that Plath interned at Madamemoiselle mag. Also that was a Royal Canadian “eh” back there ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am
The Count of Al Dente:

'night all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am

@Beefless: Judging from what that inspired in The Bell Jar, it doesn't seem to have been a good experience
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36am
coelacanth∅:

gnight Count
  3:36am
Beefless:

The fripp/eno track reminded me at times of the soundtracks to Annihilation and also Sicario (which makes use of that effect you called primordial or somethin like that )
Avatar 3:36am
mark1981:

@diciassete, chicken skin...is that like goose bumps?! @Beefless & @fred, yeah, I think Madamoiselle was a lousy place for a woman who liked to write in 1953. It was all about how you looked. Not surprisingly Plath that was a buncha bull, mostly
  3:37am
Beefless:

@fred , that’s a book I need to re-read. Can’t remember much of it at all. Did you like it?
  3:37am
tullius:

I was once thrown out of a class for suggesting we hold a Sylvia Plath Memorial Bake Sale, when asked for ideas for the humanities dept annual fundraiser.
  3:38am
tullius:

good show, btw
Avatar 3:40am
mark1981:

@tullius, heh!! I think I saw a Plath halloween costume in college where someone was wearing an oven. It is easy to parody, but so sad. And thanks for tuning in!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42am
fred:

@Beefless: Yes. Though "like" is probably not the best word for it. I think it's a powerful book, and it made me dive deeper into her poetry (she's the first poet whose work I actually enjoyed)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46am

New Order!

@diciassette: It's usually "chair de poule" in France French, funny how different languages use different fowls

Well, I do. I won it, said I didn't want it, and then gave it to nifigance. The man wanted to get rid of a CD, and we're helping him do it. As I said, I'm an asshole :)

Great set I'm loving it - love from Sydney
Avatar 5:30am
CDToaster:

@tullius: No, I don't have any CD I'm "looking to get rid of..." I was going to direct you to a list to choose from that I used to sell but nowadays just give to friends who ask. I cater to fellow film buffs. But let's not make this too complicated; it's probably against the rules to run a contest for self-produced discs. Sorry, no changie mindgie and no, you're not an a-hole, you're kind and didn't want me to go out of my way.
@Vin: Thanks for pointing out you're on a different continent! (lol) International Shipping charges extra (ha)
