Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 8:24pm Jesse Kaminsky:

Fully support that, have a great commute!
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 8:37pm Mayuko:

@Jesse thanks for the video link! I was just at some beaches and creeks, thinking gull identification is something hardcore bird watchers can handle. And the most hardest core one is sparrow identification, I think....
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 8:48pm Jesse Kaminsky:

I got super into beetles for a while and it was really fun but I think I discovered that there's only so far I can go before getting really lost in the minute differences. Do you use project noah at all?
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:00pm Mayuko:

I DID NOT KNOW IT AND I JUST CREATED AN ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! This looks exciting!!! Man, I can't imagine getting into insects - I'm already lost in the bird level of subtlety and complexity.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:01pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Jesse & Jesseters
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:03pm Jesse Kaminsky:

heya coelacanthø!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 5/1/18 9:05pm chresti:

Hi Peeps- Is it nesting season there?
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:05pm Jesse Kaminsky:

@mayuko, it's cool because there are lots of people who know way more than me there, you can label a photo as unknown and people help with the ID
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:10pm Jesse Kaminsky:

Hey chresti! It's pretty much always nesting season around here
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:11pm Mayuko:

I've been using something similar to this that's connected from audubon app, which often breaks and gives me trouble logging in. Noah seems far more popular and UI looking better to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 5/1/18 9:13pm melinda:

hi chums
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:14pm Jesse Kaminsky:

Hey melinda!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 5/1/18 9:15pm melinda:

Has anyone else had trouble with the new pop-up player? I find that it only plays the main stream, so I've been using itunes for alternate streams.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 5/1/18 9:21pm chresti:

Yes! I did have trouble-it changed players. Seems to work now, tho

Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:30pm coelacanth∅:

pop-up has never worked well for me so if it's worse yet, no loss for me.

chresti yes nesting season. birds in the roof over my porch as usual and a large rodent of some kind under it.
i like it.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:31pm Jesse Kaminsky:

  Tue. 5/1/18 9:34pm holasoymilk:

uon was really cool, I had to look them up!
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:36pm coelacanth∅:

no maybe a groundhog.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:37pm coelacanth∅:

- or a woodchuck.
  Tue. 5/1/18 9:38pm holasoymilk:

ground squirrel?
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:38pm northguineahills:

hola holasoymilk. You just reminded me I need new soy milk, my old one is probably bad (only use it for cooking).
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:41pm coelacanth∅:

much bigger than a ground squirrel.
...(is "woodchuck" just another name for "grondhog"?)
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:45pm Mayuko:

Time to wrap up work and head home. Thanks Jesse for all the musical & natural-historical goodies!!!!!

To ending well Mayuko!
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:46pm coelacanth∅:

gnight Mayuko
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:48pm coelacanth∅:

no i don't think it's in the weasel family -which from what i hear is a good thing.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:48pm Mayuko:

good night, coelacanth∅ and all!
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:48pm northguineahills:

ayanasumi-nasai, Mayuko!
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:49pm coelacanth∅:

i'm looking at images and, unless i'm forgetting all about one, i think it's probably a groundhog.
  Tue. 5/1/18 9:49pm holasoymilk:

I thought a woodchuck was similar to a beaver?
  Tue. 5/1/18 9:49pm holasoymilk:

night, mayuko
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 5/1/18 9:50pm chresti:

I don't think there are any groundhogs here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 5/1/18 9:53pm chresti:

There are giant rats reported near Sacramento, I think.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:53pm coelacanth∅:

the landlord knows about it and that it's gnawing on the house under my bedroom and he doesn't seem to care, so i don't care. if it gets too loud i stamp my foot on the floor and it stops.
- hola i think you're right and i first thought it was a beaver but the beaver has that wide tail for making dams.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:54pm northguineahills:

@holasoymilk: Similar in body in size.

@woodchuck: groundhogs and woodchucks are synonymous.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:56pm northguineahills:

errr.. coel: woodchuck... (can't brain).
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:57pm coelacanth∅:

haha ngh! right isn't "woodchuck" a new england thing?
  Tue. 5/1/18 9:57pm holasoymilk:

I googled woodchuck (ya know since I'm connected to the internet) it said it is a groundhog
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:58pm northguineahills:

Depends how much a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood ;)
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:58pm coelacanth∅:

and if it can't it's just a damn groundhog.
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 9:59pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Jesse!
tchau camaradas
Avatar Tue. 5/1/18 10:00pm Jesse Kaminsky:
