In the 60s, comedy impressions of Hubert Humphrey always portrayed him as saying that he was pleased as punch.

Lilly Tomlin (Laugh In, ca. 1969, as Ernestine): You say you're pleased as punch that I called? Well, nowadays, I'll bet you're pleased as punch that anybody calls.

The tambourine in Reflections sounds like someone pounded a nail into a wall with a tambourine, place the tambourine on the nail, then started hitting the tambourine with another tambourine.

Parq, Fred Cookinham, who could do a good HHH impression (as well as of lots of other people), told me that predilection of Humphrey's. But maybe he was just getting it from other impressionists saying "pleased as punch" as Humphrey. Things like that take on a life of their own.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm

Milo: It was a cover! Entitled "Four Optigans" by Pea Hicks.

Today I saw "The Death of Stalin" at Cinepolis Mansfield on Rte. 57 just south of Hackettstown, where it's closing after tomorrow. Very entertaining movie, tons of laughs yet poignant. Steve Buscemi looks and sounds to me so much like Wallace Shawn, I'm telling people it was Steve Buscemi as Wallace Shawn as Nikita Kruschev.
